Maybe. I wouldn't, if I were in his place. I'd stab him until I felt satisfied.
"Now, what do you want to do?" Daddy asks.
"What are the options, Daddy?"
His smile is so wide. It's hard to focus on what he's saying.
"We can start unpacking and making this our home. Or we can… debauch the kitchen by preparing food." I frown. I had very different expectations when he saiddebauch. "Or… we can head to bed."
"Option three, pretty please."
"That's my polite boy."
Daddy sweeps me off my feet, and I giggle. I love when he manhandles me.
Most of our life has been perfect since the wedding. I cut contact with my brother and my mother with Daddy's helpand support. Especially when my mom started bombarding me with messages about Ezrah and how I could do this to Aziel. It dragged me to dark places. Daddy took matters into his own hands. He spoke with my mother, I don't know what he said to her, but afterwards we blocked her, and she never contacted me again.
Daddy also accompanied me on several kills. Who knew it would be so incredible to have him with me? He turns feral after every kill and claims my body like it's his only purpose.
We also grew closer to my cousins, especially Malakai. But I have a feeling that's already ruined because of me.
All thoughts vanish when Daddy opens the door to what will be our bedroom from now on.
I gasp.
Rose petals are scattered everywhere. There are several lit candles filling the room with warmth only fire can give. By the windows and in the corners are floating red balloons. On the bed, there are two boxes tied with pretty crimson bows and a red rose.
"Daddy… what's all of this?"
When did he even have time to prepare this?
"Happy anniversary, my love," Daddy says with a wide smile.
Fuck. The happiness in his eyes makes my heart clench so hard I almost cry. Some days, I still can't believe this precious man is mine.
I thought our anniversary was ruined. Yet here he is, being the best man alive.
"Happy anniversary, Daddy!" I choke out as I wrap my arms around his neck. "When did you have the time for this?"
"When it comes to you, I'll always find time. Now, do you want to see your presents?"
"Yes!"
Daddy carries me to the bed, keeps me in his lap, and hands me the bigger box.
My hands shake as I unwrap it. When I lift the lid, I freeze.
My head snaps to Daddy. He's smiling in that hesitant, nervous way he rarely does.
"Daddy…" I whisper, looking back at the box.
Inside is a bunny plushie dressed exactly like me – pink shirt, black corset – holding a tiny knife. Besides it there's a gargoyle toy in a suit. That's my Daddy. But what steals my breath is the diamond choker on the bunny's neck with a bunny charm at its center.
My fingers tremble as I touch it, and my eyes water.
"You're the most precious person in my life," Daddy says quietly. "You're my boy. I wanted to claim you in one more way. I want you to wear this and always remember you have me. And that your Daddy loves you more than anything."
I kiss him because I can't hold myself back.
