“And where will you go?”
“You know where.”
“It won’t take them long on Orius to figure out who you really are.”
Tok shrugged.
“Don’t get reckless. You don’t know if Ketturan warriors will be killing us this year.”
“I don’t, but it’s a distinct possibility.”
Wex took a deep breath and sighed. “It was rash to call them out as hypocrites. But you know, fuck it. They need to stop taking themselves so seriously.”
Tok smirked.
“Maybe I’ll come to Orius.”
He shook his head. “I want her to myself.”
“Is this blowout with the Ketturans just an excuse?”
“Yes.”
Wex laughed. “But you still think I should go home?”
“Yes.”
Wex hugged him. “I’ll keep Roll with me. If I drop him anywhere on his own, some other ship will try to poach him, and if we don’t die, I don’t want to have to replace him.”
