Shiloh giggled. “A sexual bucket list?”
“Yeah, you know. A list of sex stuff, freaky or mundane, that you want to try and we’ll just, like…go for it?”
Was this man crazy? “What if it’s something you don’t like?”
Levi tugged at Shiloh’s hair. “Honestly, Dimples, I haven’t really tried that much myself. I’m kind of boring. I figured out the basics and just sort of stopped there. We can explore together.”
“What things did you figure out you liked?” Shiloh asked.
“With you?” Levi asked, knowing full well that wasn’t what Shiloh meant, but not allowing him to correct him before he said, “I love how noisy you are. Ilovewhen you just do what Itell you without question. I like how your nose scrunches right before you come?—”
Shiloh lifted his head, slapping his chest. “Oh, my God. It does not. Shut up.”
Levi laughed, delighted at Shiloh’s embarrassment. “It totally does. Your head falls back and your lips part and you just do this little nose scrunching thing that is so hot and cute I don’t know whether to tease you or breed you.”
Shiloh gasped like a scandalized maiden, heat rolling through him as his cock twitched with interest. “Don’t…don’t use that word.”
“Which one?” Levi teased. “Breeding?”
“Shut up,” Shiloh whined, throwing his hands over his face.
“I can’t tell if you really like it or really hate it. I’m adding it to the bucket list.” He pretended to write in the air. “Check to see if Shiloh has a breeding kink.”
Shiloh was so flushed he was probably glowing like embers in a fire. “I hate you.”
“Nah, you love me.”
“I—” Shiloh cut himself off.
It was way too early for that. There was impulsive and then there was just insane. SayingI love youto someone you’d known less than a week was insane. So, he did what any mature adult would do. He changed the subject. “What if I end up liking something super freaky that you hate? Then what?”
“Then we will negotiate and compromise.”
Before Shiloh could offer another hypothetical, Levi’s phone rang from somewhere beneath the covers. Shiloh saw Jericho’s photo a moment before Levi swiped to answer.
“Hey, man. What’s up?” Shiloh could almost make out Jericho’s voice on the other end of the phone but then Levi said, “Let me put you on speakerphone.” Levi clicked a button, then said, “Go ahead, Coe.”
Jericho’s voice filled the room, a bit tinny from the phone’s speaker. “I found a lawyer for Malachi. He’s making time to see you two today.”
“Oh, my God. That’s amazing!” Shiloh said, heart leaping.
“Yeah, but…unfortunately, you have to be there by noon.”
“Noon?” Shiloh said, looking at his own phone. It was already ten-thirty.
“Yeah,” Jericho said grimly. “And his office is downtown, across from the Mulvaney Media building.”
Levi groaned, already sitting up. “That’s so far, dude.”
“Look, Thomas pulled a lot of strings to get this guy. He’s the best criminal defense attorney in the state and he’s only talking to us because my last name is Mulvaney. His name is Lorenzo Conti. I’ll send you his details.”
“We’re never going to get an Uber at this time of day,” Shiloh said, chewing on his thumbnail, stomach churning.
“I’m sending someone to get you. Be downstairs in twenty.”
“Well, I hope whoever you’re sending is arriving in a time machine because that’s the only way we’re going to make it on time,” Levi grumbled.
Shiloh glared at Levi. “What he meant to say was thank you, Jericho.” He then slapped Levi’s bare shoulder with the back of his hand.
