Shiloh didn’t want him to move, though. His weight was grounding, making him feel safe, keeping him from the panic lingering just outside his periphery, waiting for its chance to hijack his happiness.

After a while, Levi said, “I’m sorry.”

There it was. Panic welled inside him.

“What? Why?” Shiloh asked, bewildered. “What did I do?”

Levi came up to brace himself on his forearms, staring down at him. “Why would I apologize if you did something wrong, goofy? I’m sorry because I was so eager to fuck you that I forgot to wear a condom.”

Oh, right. That was a thing people did. “It’s okay. I forgot, too.”

Levi pushed Shiloh’s sweaty curls from his forehead. “I’ve been tested. I’m negative.”

“Mal made me get tested after the second time I, well, you know, back in high school. I’m negative as well. I—” He snapped his mouth shut.

Levi’s brows knitted together. “You…”

“I liked it,” Shiloh said, voice barely a whisper. “I liked how it felt with nothing between us.”

Levi grinned, dipping his head to connect their mouths. “I did, too.”

They kissed for a few minutes before Levi’s soft cock slipped from Shiloh’s body, making him grimace. Levi pushed back, kneeling between Shiloh’s splayed legs, spreading his cheeks, watching his cum leak from Shiloh’s aching hole.

“Stop,” he whined.

“What? It’s hot,” Levi said.

Shiloh grabbed a pillow, pulling it onto his face, inhaling deeply when he realized it smelled like Levi.

When he’d apparently looked his fill, the mattress shifted. “Be right back,” he said.

Shiloh didn’t move even when Levi returned, running a warm washcloth over his belly and between his legs.

The pillow suddenly disappeared from over his face. Levi grinned down at him. “Hi.”

“Hi,” Shiloh said softly.

Levi laid on his back beside him, then gathered Shiloh against him. Shiloh rested his head on Levi’s chest, the heavy thud of his heartbeat lulling him. He wondered if he was supposed to say something or do something.

He didn’t really know what.

Levi’s lips pressed against the top of his head. “Get some sleep, Dimples. I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be a really long day.”

Shiloh opened his mouth to tell Levi he didn’t think he could sleep, but instead yawned loudly, earning a laugh from above. Levi dragged the covers up over them both, his hand stroking Shiloh’s arm lazily until the world finally faded to black.

A piercing ringing sound permeated through Levi’s fog of sleep. Dream Levi slapped at the alarm clock that appeared in his dream to no avail. The ringing continued. He blinked himself awake when Shiloh made a distressed sound, burrowing his face into Levi’s neck. He gently displaced him, reaching for where his phone normally lay, but it wasn’t there.

He groaned, crushing Shiloh to reach over him and dangle off the bed, slapping blindly at his jeans, only for the ringing to stop as his hand closed around his phone. He huffed out an irritated sigh, flopping onto his back. He blinked rapidly until the numbers on the bright screen stopped searing his retinas and came into focus. It was four in the morning. He didn’t recognize the number.

Shiloh whined, rubbing his face against Levi’s neck, before snoring softly once more. Levi stifled a laugh. He needed to put his phone on the charger, but he didn’t want to disturb Shiloh. Just as he set the phone down on the mattress, the ringing began again.

What the hell?

Levi swiped to answer. “Hello?” he mumbled, voice raspy from sleep.

“Mr. Akira?”

Levi’s jaw tightened. Only one place called him that. “It’s four in the morning.”
