“Sylvia wants me to go shopping with her.”
Javier felt like a bowling ball just landed on his stomach. “You don’t have to do that.”
Bowie looked at him like he was crazy. “Have to? I love shopping.”
Shit. “I just don’t think it’s a good idea.”
“Why? You’re the one who wanted to come here. You said it’s safe. She has three personal guards, and that’s not including Hurley who is going to be with me the whole time.”
Javier rubbed a hand over his mouth, scratching at the scruff on his cheeks. “If you feel even a little bit scared or you think somebody is following you, you tell Hurley and come straight home.”
“You’re so bossy,” Bowie teased before dipping his head and licking over Javier’s bottom lip. “Mm, you taste like lime.”
Javier locked his hand on the back of Bowie’s neck, holding him in place as he kissed him, thoroughly exploring his mouth. When he pulled away, he muttered. “Me vuelves loco.”
Bowie narrowed his eyes. “Why do I have a feeling you just said something mean?”
“Nah, angel. I said you drive me crazy.” He guided Bowie’s hand to his cock, which was already semi-hard behind his zipper.
Bowie made a noise of happy surprise before kissing him again. “Save that for later. You can’t get me all worked up before I spend a day shopping with your aunt.”
“You started it when you sat yourself down in my lap. You know what you do to me.”
“Stop,” Bowie pouted, cheeks red. “I can’t go out with a raging hard-on.”
Javier laughed, wrapping an arm around Bowie’s waist, bringing them both to their feet. “Come on. I’ll show you where our room is so you can pull yourself together.”
He turned to walk away, threading his fingers with Bowie’s and guiding him up the wide tiled staircase to their room. Bowie shook his head at the enormous king size bed. “This bedroom is bigger than my entire childhood home.”
Javier shook his head. “Yeah, same. I’m going to see if I can track down my uncle. The bathroom is through that door. Okay?” Bowie nodded, suddenly looking anxious. Javier hesitated. “You know, you don’t have to go if you don’t want to. I can tell her you changed your mind or that you’re not feeling well.”
He shook his head. “No, I’m good.”
“Okay,” Javier said, trying to figure out what had caused Bowie’s sudden nerves.
“I’m good. Never mind.”
“Alright,” Javier said, skeptical. “I’ll see you when you get back.”
His hand was on the doorknob when Bowie said, “Javi?”
Javi. Bowie had never called him that before. Always Javier. He liked the sound of his family name on Bowie’s lips. Bowie felt like family to him, the best kind of family.
He turned back to him, frowning. “Yeah, angel?”
Bowie’s gaze slid away from him, flushing to the tips of his ears. “Tonight… “ His voice was shaking.
Javier moved closer.“Tonight?” he prompted.
“Tonight, I want you…inside me.”
His cock hardened so fast it made him light-headed. “I… Are you sure?”
Bowie looked terrified, but he nodded. “Yes.”
Javier pushed Bowie’s hair from his face. “You don’t have to do that. We’re good, angel. Just as we are. I love everything we do together.”
Bowie shook his head. “I want to. I need to. I feel…saferhere. More like myself. Please?”
