My brows knit in confusion. “No… But should I really – look outside, I mean?”
He widened his arms at his sides and entered the house. “Fuck yeah, Gallan.Yeah.” He wiped sweat off his head. “Had to battle my way up, even with security shielding me. And this guy here is having a merry time.”
I rolled my eyes and scratched at my abs. “Fine, come in, why don’t you.” I locked the door and walked back into the kitchen.
“What’s wrong?” Zaira asked as she looked between me and Shane. She then pulled the hoodie down to her knees and squirmed a little on the kitchen counter.
“Apparently, it’s a third-degree crime that I haven’t looked outside my balcony this morning,” I said to her, and then came to stand next to her.
Her expression pinched. “Huh?”
Shane clicked his tongue and stepped into the kitchen before facing Zaira. “Yourdarlingboyfriend andyou, dear Zaira, are the talk of the town. You two have gone viral.”
“What?!” Zaira and I said in unison.
Shane rolled his eyes and pointed a finger at me. “Don’t look so surprised; you’re always in the headlines.”
“Yeah well, but it’s for things I amawareof. I don’t know what I did this time. Did I accidently share a dick pic in my sleep?” I looked at Zaira after that, and found that the color had drained from her face.
“Hey…” I wrapped an arm around her. “Baby, you okay?”
She gazed at me with big, fearful eyes. “I think it’s about the selfies we posted last night.”
I whipped my head towards Shane, who nodded at her guess.
“Don’t keep me in suspense, you bald bastard. Just tell me what happened.”
Zaira laughed a little at my choice of words, which made me smile.
“I think you two should check your phones first,” Shane said.
My smile immediately vanished, and my heart started beating faster than a kick drum.
Good fucking morning to me.
