Said you're running red lights
At 85 and getting closer
A kiss at the door, ended up on the floor
Ain't too sure what hurts more
That you didn't or that I dreamed you did…
He stopped, and I shifted just a little so I could look at him properly.
“Why’d you stop?” I asked.
Gallan grinned. “Because you didn’t join me,” he answered easily.
I touched the fingers of my right hand to his jaw before smiling. “I didn’t know you wanted me to.”
His expression held profound emotions as he continued to look at me. “I’ll always want you to join in, baby; there’s no question in that.”
Be still, my chubby heart.
I leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his lips. “Okay.”
He winked. “Okay.” He then picked the beat up from where he’d left off, and with smiles on our faces, we began singing together.
Yeah we said everything we didn't say
I ain't saying no word at all
I tried like hell to fall back asleep
Just to see if maybe we
Could pick back up where we left off
When you called me said you want me
Told me you were coming over
Said you're running red lights
At 85 and getting closer
A kiss at the door, ended up on the floor
Ain't too sure what hurts more
That you didn't or that I dreamed you did oh
Is it worse that you're so gone
That I don't even cross your mind
Or that I'll be dreaming that you're coming back again tonight
When you called me said you want me
Told me you were coming over
