“Oh God,” I breathed when Gallan began playing the stripped version ofTake It From Meby Jordan Davis on his guitar.

He looked at me and grinned, and a thick strand of his hair fell forward, making him impossibly attractive.

“Know this song?” he asked, knowing full well by my reaction that I did.

“Of course,” I managed to say.

“Great; sing it with me, then,” he said before winking at me.

I swallowed and fidgeted with the hem of my t-shirt. “I don’t think–” I shut my mouth whenhestarted singing, andGod, could that guy sing. His voice had a brush of husk to it; it had a textured grunge that fit so well with the vibe of the song.

Baby, you should stop right now, right here

Right where we wanna be I'll spin you around and let's just see

Where this thing goes, all I know is that I'm all yours, all night

I've got nothing but time

With a smile on my face, I bobbed my head and tapped my feet to his beautiful voice, and when he motioned for me to join him, I did so without hesitation, because why not, right?

Take it from me if you want a t-shirt to sleep in

It's my favorite but you can keep it

Looks good baby you should leave it

Hanging off your shoulders

Now give them bare feet dancing down the hallway

Smiling at me running your finger down the wall

You know what I want, I got what you need

Take it from me…

Gallan grinned, and I realized that we’d unknowingly leaned close to each other while singing.

I looked into those dark eyes of his just as he stopped playing the guitar, and immediately got lost in them. They held me captive; they pulled at every last one of my strings. Gallan’s eyes were a vortex of allure. They were irresistible, fatal.

“Hey there,” he whispered, and then smiled down at me.

“Hey,” I whispered back.

“You can sing,” he voiced with surprise on his features. “Like, reallysing.”

“A little,” I teased. “But your voice…it’s breathtaking.”

“Nah; it’s pretty average.”

“Just shut up and take the compliment, Underwood.”

He chuckled. “God, you’re so beautiful,” he said. “So,sobeautiful.”
