“Didn’t know we were playing a game,” I told him.
He huffed. “Fine. Cake first, and then sex.”
I grinned. “Good boy.”
He shook his head around a smile. “I’m only doing it because I am a hog for everything you cook.”
I chuckled. “Got it.” I swiped a bead of sweat from his temple. “Oh hey, and Gallan?”
He looked at me. “Yeah?”
“The next time we fuck like this, I want you to give me a hickey to remember it by,” I said to him.
His dark eyes shone at that. “You got it.”
I clenched around him at the promise in his voice, which made him hiss.
With another chuckle, I moved back and got to my feet. “Let’s clean up so we can get that call in order.”
He pulled up his underwear and pants before joining me. “You’re very excited about this call, aren’t you?”
I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck. “I am, and so are our families and friends.”
He looked a bit sheepish as he held me to him. “I’m feeling really special today, and it’s giving me a major case of acidity,” he said.
I laughed, and so did he, and when he kissed me and told me that he loved me, I once again thanked every single star up there that had a hand in bringing us together.
Having Gallan was not only fulfilling, but it was also a medium of happiness I didn’t know I could have – not until it quite literally changed the very facet of my life and made me see a side of myself that I most probably would never have if it weren’t for him and his trust in me.
“Gallan?” I said.
He touched his forehead to mine and smiled at me. “Hmm?”
“Aren’t you glad where my presumptions about you have gotten us today?” I asked.
His shoulders shook as he laughed silently. “Fuck yeah, I am. More than words can express.”
“Not a master manipulator of words now, huh?”
He grinned. “Nah, not this time. You’ve left me speechless, just like you did the very first time I looked at you.”
“That so?” I blinked up at him.
“Uh huh.”
And just like that, he claimed another piece of me for himself, and in doing so, he made me feel whole in ways I knew no one else could make me feel.
