“I like having your mark on me.” Coal touches the spot on his neck where I returned the mate mark. The same spothe’d bitten me. It’s strange to think that was just yesterday. “Come on,” Coal says, reaching his hand out to me once again. “First, you need to shift. Don’t want anyone seeing you all marked up.” Coal leads me to the door, before he releases my hand, and then steps back, so I can shift.
I shake my fur out, stretching my limbs and arching my back.
“Beautiful,” Coal compliments, and then pushes the fabric of the tent door open. I walk out first, and as soon as I do, I see the red Wolf. Daniel. There’s a petite Wolf next to him with a mix of black and gray fur, and I scent the air. She smells like lemons. “Daniel gave your mother the mate mark last night.”
I stare at my mother for a moment, liking how happy she looks in this new form. If only she had been able to shift sooner.
But then, maybe I never would have met my mates.
“None of that matters now, Delilah. You’re here, and you’re ours.”Coal steps up beside me, pushing his fingers into my fur, and making me swoon a bit.
I step up to my mother, who’s smaller than I am in this form too, and nuzzle her neck. I never imagined something like this was possible, but here we are.
“Run with your parents, flower. We’ll be here when you return. Then we’ll talk.” Coal nods to the forest, and I don’t waste a second, taking off into the trees.
Dean
Arms crossed over my chest as I stand at the table we’ve gathered around, I stare at the two men I once consideredmy enemies. They are both marked with the same reminders of Delilah’s love, and I can’t say I hate it at all.
They’re clearly strong. To have endured the abuse they both have and still be standing here, ready to die for our mate, is admirable. But it won’t come to that.
These men are my bond mates, and I will give everything I have to protect them. Delilah would never be the same if they died. Even if she survived their deaths, she’d be broken forever.
“Myself, Daniel, Coal, and Quil, will all meet Michael here,” Nero says, as he marks a spot on the map we’re looking at. “Matteo, Dean, Delilah, and my sister Rebecca, will all hide here.” The next spot marked is several yards away from the clearing they’re meant to meet at later today.
“And the rest?” Coal asks, and Nero draws a half circle around the backside of our people.
“They’ll all be shifted and ready for an ambush, but if we do this right, Michael will be dead within minutes.”
“He’s paranoid, but also extremely overconfident. He truly believes he’s more powerful than the rest of us. That none of us would step out of line or dare rise against him,” Coal says.
“I’ve met many Alphas like your father in my time as a Rogue. His inflated ego will be his downfall and watching him lose today will be satisfying.” Nero’s grin is a bit sinister, but I haven’t gotten the sense he is anything other than a good man. He just enjoys watching evil men get what they deserve.
“Could we leave Delilah here with her mother? Maybe have them guard the children and pregnant women?” Quil asks, and I snort.
“Delilah would have your dick locked in a vice before you even got that sentence half out in her presence. Wouldyou allow your mate to walk into danger without you?” I ask the Beta, and he glares angry daggers at me. I smirk, and then just to fuck with him, I blow him a kiss. Much to my great enjoyment, his eyes go wide with surprise.
“Stop flirting and focus,” Coal scolds, and I lift a brow.
“Jealous?” I tease and then laugh when he swallows hard.
“What am I missing right now? Why am I getting mental images of Dean dominating Quil?”Delilah asks us all through the bond, and Matteo chuckles beside me.
“The other two keep staring at my massive cock. I think they want to ride me the way you did last night, Luna.”The groans around the room and the one from Delilah through the bond make me grin, even as Quil tosses a pen at my head.
“Hold the fuck up.”Delilah’s desire is strong, and we can all feel her need through the bond.“I thought… I mean, you? And them? You want to…”
“Fuck them?”I offer since our girl is struggling.“Only if you’re comfortable with that. They’re my bond mates, but you are my one and only true mate. If that's not something you’re comfortable with, I will never bring it up ag-”
“I’m okay with it!”Delilah shouts, making us all flinch.“Sorry, what I meant to say is, if that is something you guys wanted to explore… while I watch, obviously… I wouldn’t say no.”
“You are all clearly having a conversation that I am not a part of, so I am going to go find my girl to expend some of this tension. I suggest you four do the same.” Nero leaves the tent, so it’s just the four of us. Matteo is grinning like a fool, enjoying their discomfort way too much.
“I’d say based on your body language, you aren’t into it, but the bulge in each of your pants suggests otherwise,” Ipoint out, taking a few steps backward, away from them. “I’m off to find our mate,” I say with a wink, before turning away and walking out.
Delilah
“How was the run with your parents?” Matteo asks, pulling me into his arms the moment I step through the tent. He kisses me softly, before pulling back. “We missed you.”
