“And it’s a good metaphor,” he continued. “Sarah leavin’ behind her childhood for responsibility and hard choices that aren’t all fairy tales and granted wishes. But then, at the end, she finds a way to hold onto the joy and the spark of imagination without lettin’ the adult world destroy her.”

I just stared. That’s all I could do. In a single viewing this hunky cowboy who, up until now, I thought was a bit of a himbo, perfectlysummed up Jim Henson’sLabyrinthwithout any previous knowledge.

It was, to be perfectly frank, one of the hottest fucking things I’d ever witnessed in my life.

“You are so fucking sexy right now,” I purred before I could help myself.

Diego’s eyes widened, and a slow, confident smile spread across his face. The kind that made my stomach do somersaults.

“Is that right?” he asked, voice dropping to that low rumble that sent shivers down my spine. “All I had to do was analyze a puppet movie to get you hot and bothered?”

I crawled across the bed toward him, unable to resist anymore. “It’s not just that,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper. “It’s that you actually paid attention. You got it. You understood why I love it.”

His expression softened, and he reached out to cup my cheek. “Of course I paid attention. It’s important to you.”

Something warm bloomed in my chest at those words. Tommy had never cared about the things I loved. He’d sit through my favorite movies, sure, but he’d be on his phone the whole time or making snide comments. Never actually engaging, never trying to understand why they mattered to me.

But Diego had watched every minute ofLabyrinthwith genuine interest, laughing at the right parts, asking questions, fully immersed in this weird little fantasy world I’d loved since childhood.

“You know what?” I said, leaning into his touch. “I think we should try out that jacuzzi tub.”

Diego’s eyebrows shot up. “Now?”

“Now,” I confirmed, already sliding off the bed. “Unless you’d rather watch another movie?”

“Hell no,” he said, scrambling after me. “Jacuzzi it is.”

I padded into the bathroom and turned on the taps, adjusting the temperature until it was perfect. The tub was enormous, with jets positioned strategically around the sides. As it filled, Iturned on the little electric candles that surrounded it, casting the room in a soft, flickering glow.

Diego leaned against the doorframe, watching me with hungry eyes. “Need any help?”

“Just your company,” I replied, pulling my t-shirt over my head. “And maybe fewer clothes.”

He didn’t need to be told twice. Within seconds, his shirt joined mine on the floor, followed quickly by his jeans and boxers. I paused in my own undressing to appreciate the view.

God, he was gorgeous. All tanned skin and defined muscle, with that trail of dark hair leading down to his already hardening uncut cock. The sight of him standing there, completely naked and completely unashamed, made my mouth go dry.

“Your turn, Freckles,” he said with a knowing smirk.

I slowly pushed my sweats down my hips, letting them pool at my feet before stepping out of them. Diego’s eyes darkened as they roamed over my body, and I felt myself responding to his gaze, my cock filling and rising in front of me.

“Beautiful,” he murmured, stepping closer to run his hands down my sides. “Every inch of you.”

The tub was nearly full now, steam rising from the surface. I reached over and turned off the taps before the water could overflow. The bathroom was filled with steam now, making everything feel dreamy and intimate.

“After you,” I said, gesturing to the tub.

Diego stepped in first, lowering himself into the hot water with a satisfied groan that sent heat straight to my groin. He leaned back against one side, his muscular arms spread along the edge of the tub, and looked up at me expectantly.

“Coming in?” he asked, his voice low and teasing. “Or you just gonna stand there admiring the view all night?”

I rolled my eyes but couldn’t hide my smile as I stepped into the jacuzzi. The water was perfectly hot, just on the edge of too much, enveloping my body in delicious warmth. I settled on the opposite side, facing Diego, our legs tangling in the middle.

“This was worth every penny of Lucas’s money,” I sighed, letting my head fall back against the edge.

Diego chuckled, reaching over to press a button that started the jets. The sudden bubbling of the water made me jump slightly, then relax even deeper as the pulsing streams hit my back.

“Damn, that feels good,” I murmured, closing my eyes.
