CHAPTER FOUR

–MACSEN –

“How are you going to do that when you haven’t gathered any information until Lu followed a gut feeling?”I tell the fucker who I didn’t like beforehand but now harbor a mighty dose of hate for.

Motherfucker, what a first-class asshole. How can someone treat their daughter the way he’s been doing for years?Thank fuck Livi grew up without him in her life.

It’s why I also let him know, “Lu is no longer a tool for you to use.Don’t even let your mind stray to that option.I’m right here if you need any help digging through shit. The connections I have will allow me to scavenge the dark web.If they’re making snuff movies, they are probably selling...”

“The highest bid always gets their fantasy played out,” Lu rambles.“That’s what Gideon said.He also added, ‘until next time,’ which means this wasn’t the first time nor will it be the last.”

Holland slams his fist on the desk and roars, “Those fuckers are auctioning off live fantasy snuff movies to the highest bidder?I will not tolerate that shit, not from anyone. They are going to die.All of them.”

His chair is roughly shoved back when he abruptly stands.

Pointing at me, Holland snaps, “We don’t need your help.Lu and I will handle it.”

I’m about to tell the fucker he’s delusional if he thinks I’m walking away, when Lu grabs my hand and calmly states, “Macsen is with me.He’s not going anywhere.”

Holland narrows his eyes when he notices her hand on me.“Need I remind you of the fact that you’re engaged?”

“Need I remind you of the fact that I killed my fiancé?”she calmly replies.

“I don’t fucking care if you killed him or not,” Holland strokes his tie, as if the man brushes away his anger, and regains his seat.“The word I received mentioned an attempt, which means the engagement is still intact.”

“I’m not going to marry anyone,” Lu grits.

This time it’s me covering her hand.“Maybe for now it’s smart to play along until we get more details.Blowing things off might raise unwanted questions.Besides, we could use this as an attempt for you to gain contact, swing by their mansion to express your worry and see what fucker they put in front of you as Gideon.”

I’m not liking this idea, and hate being the one to bring this up, but fuck...snuff movies tied to an auction? What the actual fuck.

Turning to Holland, I make shit very clear.“You’ve worked with us in the past, gave up names so we could take out criminals tainting humanity.Consider this option along those same lines.Well, on one condition.”

The gleam in his eyes tells me Holland is interested.Fucker.

“What’s the condition?”he asks with a load of disinterest, though I know I’ve got him; hook, line, and sinker.

“Lu is my first and only priority and she won’t be taking any more orders from you.”

Holland waves his hand, something he did a few times in this conversation to wave shit away, and states, “Done.”

Yeah, right.Make a pink flying monkey riding dick believe your bullshit, fucker.Lu not trusting her own damn father is completely understandable.Either way he agreed.

“Then it’s settled.I’m Lu’s guardian.I won’t leave her side and will make any and all decisions concerning her well-being.”I get to my feet.“Which also means she’ll be staying at the clubhouse with me.”

“No,” Holland is suddenly on his feet as well.“I didn’t agree to those terms.Besides, she cannot stay at a clubhouse filled with men while she’s engaged.Everyone knows she’s not untouched due to a previous marriage, but staying with bikers will start rumors.Lu has a good reputation, one night where her virginity was taken still makes her a desirable untainted future wife.”

I barely manage not to snort, knowing I took this woman slow the first time, hard and raw the second time, and kept pushing her limits all through the damn night, and it ended with me dicking her ass come morning.

Knowing I was the first man to have her?Yes, I’m conveniently skipping over her wedding night ’cause that pussy poking one-timer doesn’t count.A satisfied, but protective feeling flows through me.

“She already shared a night at the clubhouse,” I taunt.

Holland waves his hand once more.“It was personal and under the radar. No one knows about Livi, or our connection with Wisely Dicey, and our whereabouts that night were off the radar. She won’t be...”
