Beckett:I am 36 years old.
Parker:I see you’re really invested in age as a barometer of knowledge and maturity.
Beckett:Please stop sneaking out in the middle of the night. It’s not safe.
Parker:I’m probably going to do what I want. I have a high rate of success with that.

Beckett:Please remember that you have an appointment with your guidance counselor at 10 tomorrow morning.
Parker:Tomorrow being…?
Beckett:Monday.
Parker:Oh right.
Beckett:Do you want me to go with you?
Parker:…why
Beckett:To participate in the discussion regarding your academic future.
Parker:Yeah, I’ll pass on that.
Beckett:What about paying your athletic fees to run track this fall and play baseball in the spring?
Parker:I’ll find the cash.
Beckett:I’ll meet you there at 10.

Beckett:You’re on the schedule tonight until closing.
Parker:That sounds interesting.
Beckett:Will you be there?
Parker:Probably. I need the money for gas.
Beckett:Will you be going home after closing?
Parker:That’s at least 9 hours from now so anything could happen.
Beckett:Okay. Let’s try this a different way. I’m driving Sunny home tonight and I’d like to have a reasonable certainty that you are not out wandering the streets while I’m doing it.
Beckett:There’s a gas card in it for you.
Parker:Since you’re being such a peach by helping Sunny, I guess I could go home after my shift.
Beckett:Excellent. Thank you.
