Never was I supposed to have fallen into bed with Luke freaking McConnell. He was supposed to be my foot in the door of the training world. Along with a ticket to some information I was trying to get. That’s it. Now, I was lying naked in his bed, after having my body thoroughly satisfied over the past few hours.

“You’re thinking too fucking loudly,” he groaned, his voice deep and full of sleep, disrupting my thoughts.

“How can I think too loudly?” I replied, laughing as he turned over and tossed a heavy arm over my waist, snuggling up closer to my body.

“Hell if I know, but you’re doing it.” He moved his hand underneath the sheet that covered my body, squeezing my thigh.

“That makes no sense, Luke.” I’d meant my comment to be a snarky retort, but it came out as more of a purr.

“And it really doesn’t make any damn sense that after I gave you three life changing orgasms last night you’re up this damn early, interrupting my sleep.” He snuggled his face into the crook of my neck, his warm breath moving over the skin of my shoulder, causing more goosebumps to rise.

“Two… it was only two life changing orgasms.”

“You forgot the one I gave you that put you to sleep.” He moved his hand up my thigh to cup my ass.

An involuntary sigh passed through my lips. “Oh yeah,” I crooned, remembering that final orgasm. His face had been between my legs that time.

“Oh yeah,” he mocked, lifting his head to nip at my earlobe with his teeth.

I shivered before turning fully onto my back to stare up at him. I winced at the sight of his swollen and purple and blue left eye. Lifting my hand, I cupped his cheek, running my thumb against the lower portion of the bruising.

“I should kick your ass for what you did last night.”

A smirk appeared.

“For forever changing your life with this dick.”

Rolling my eyes, I punched him in the shoulder. “No, dummy. For going out and jeopardizing everything you have by getting into an underground fight.”And for harming that beautiful face of yours. Thankfully, I shut my damn mouth before that last part escaped it.

“It was more than just one fight,” he countered.

I shook my head and sat up on my elbows. “You know that’s not the smartest thing to do, right? Please tell me it’s not something you do regularly.”

Luke huffed before moving away from me to the side of the bed, climbing off of it.

“You sound like Pit,” he grumbled.

“What?”

“Nothing. If I knew you were going to bitch about my fighting, I would’ve let you keep quietly drowning in your own thoughts this morning.”

“I’m not bitching. I’m reminding you of what you have to lose.”

He stood at the side of the bed completely naked. “Consider me reminded.”

I swallowed as my eyes moved down his body, ogling the contours and indentations his layers of muscles made. The tattoos served to highlight how ripped he was. But even with the tats I could make out some of the bruising he’d sustained the night before.

“How many fights did you get into?”

He pushed out a breath, cracking his neck. “Syd.”

“How many?”

“Four.”

My eyes bulged. He’d taken on four contenders the previous night and then come back to the hotel and still fucked me like a stallion.

“Did you win?”
