I moved my hand from her breasts to her hair, loving the way my hand sank and almost disappeared in her mass of curls. I grabbed a handful of her auburn hair, turning her head to the side and leaning over to bite and suck at her earlobe. Pulling back, I said, “You’re mine, Kay. You were always meant to be mine!” I growled, pounding into her more.

Her mouth parted but all that escaped was a silent cry as she came around my thrusting dick. The squeezing and tightening of her muscles around mine was almost too much. I didn’t want this to end just yet. My body pushed me to come right there and then, but I was a man of my word. I rode her through her own orgasm before pulling out of her.

Disregarding my own body’s need for a release, I flipped Kayla onto her back. Her hazy eyes widened in shock, then hungry need. I pressed both of her breasts together, lining my cock up in between them. I thrust in and out, continuing to squeeze her breasts together, titty fucking her. Within seconds, the stimulation proved just what I needed to get off. My come came out, soaking the skin of her chest, neck, and chin. For the first and only time in my life I regretted not coming inside of a woman. I brushed that feeling to the side and struggled for air after my release.

I growled in Kay’s ear as I rolled us over, so she laid on top of me, my back against the mattress.

“Shit just got real complicated between you and me.”

Chapter Thirteen

Kayla

What the hell did that mean?Shit just got complicated. As far as I was concerned, this thing between Josh and I hadalwaysbeen complicated.

“And the kitchen has the granite countertops and tile backsplash that you love,” Darla’s voice interrupted my thoughts.

I welcomed the distraction. It’d been a few days since that night at the bar and afterwards. Joshua and I were growing closer, with me spending every night in his bed, in his arms, my drifting off to sleep after yet another spine tingling orgasm. It felt like a dream. I woke up and felt safer than I had in a long time. I’d all but forgotten about my appointment with Darla that evening after work, until my phone’s calendar reminded me of it on my schedule. To not be rude, I kept the appointment although my heart wasn’t in it.

“I love it,” I told her, giving her a half-hearted smile. “And you said this place has two bedrooms, right?”

“Right,” Darla confirmed, stepping around me toward the long hallway.

After a second of me examining the large kitchen space, I followed the sound of Darla’s heels against the hardwood floors, down the hall toward one of the bedrooms. The master bedroom was huge and allowed for lots of sunlight. This place was the second one we’d looked at and it fit the criteria I’d given Darla for what I wanted. On paper, it was perfect, but in my head, I was steadily comparing the place to Joshua’s. This place had hardwood floors, something I’d thought I wanted but now I was partial to marble flooring. The granite countertops in the kitchen were a dull grey whereas I loved the way light reflected off the white countertops in Joshua’s home. I pulled myself from my ruminating, realizing what I was doing. Besides, Joshua never said he’d wanted me to move in long-term. Sure, he’d made no mention of me moving out at all, and yes, the previous night he’d even declared he’d take another man’s life for me, but that didn’t mean ...

“And as owner in this particular building, you will be in part ownership with Townsend Real Estate …”

I spun on my heels, turning to Darla. “Townsend Real Estate owns the building?”

“Well, technically them, and the owners of the units, which you will be once you purchase.”

“I—” My response was cut off by a loud banging noise that came from the front door.

“What the hell?” Darla questioned.

“Oh my God!” I yelled as a masked man barged into the room. My sights narrowed in on the barrel of his gun that was pointed in my direction. My flight or fight response immediately kicked in and I looked around for a place to run but we were trapped.

“Get on the fucking ground!” he yelled. “Now!” He pushed the gun in Darla’s face first and then shoved me by the shoulder to the floor.

In my peripheral I saw a second figure move to the doorway.

“Give me this!”

I felt my shoulder bag being snatched from my hand.

“Hey!” Darla yelled as her bag was taken.

“Shut up, bitch!” the second voice yelled.

What the hell is happening?

“You find it?” the first man that’d burst into the room questioned.

“What’s the code to the safe?”

“Ahh!” Darla screamed when one of the men grabbed her by the hair, demanding some combination code.

“What safe? I don’t know about any safe!” she insisted.
