I was suddenly very aware of my breathing. Like that one time I overdid it on edibles and iced rosewater bong rips.

“So you… what? Wanna hook up with me?”

He bit his lower lip, shaking his head. “Nah. I’ve never been a hookup kind of guy. I know you’re about to graduate and all, and the timing is pretty shit, but I was hopin’ you’d let me take you for a drink.”

I gestured around us. “We’re in a bar.”

“I wanted to take you for a drink somewhere else. There’s a cool pub in San Marcos I was scoping out. Thought you might enjoy it.”

“So you wanna date me? Even though I’ll probably be in Austin next month?”

“Yes. And get naked with you, eventually. What I meant is, I didn’t spend a whole month flirting with you for a quick roll in the hay. Besides, Austin’s just up the road.”

How was it possible to feel both windblown and nailed to the floor at the same time? I shivered and shook myself out of the stunned loop I kept finding myself in. “That’s good. I prefer to bottom, and the idea of all that prep work for a one-time fuck? The one thing college taught me is that I am not built that way.”

“The one thing, huh?”

“Shut up.” Heat flashed up my neck, crawling onto my cheeks.

“That’s good to know.”

As his lips brushed the tip of my nose, desire filled my belly, burning away the whiplashed, drunk-in-the-middle-of-the-afternoon feeling. With my chest rising and falling, I chased his lips, needing them on mine. He obliged, and heat dripped lower, tightening my muscles, my belly, my balls.

I tried to follow as he pulled away, but that gravelly voice in my ear was just as good. “We can go as slow as you need to.”

I snorted.

It was cute, shut up.

“Fuck that. I could set up camp under this stupid apron. I don’t need slow, I just don’t want meaningless.”

His eyes tracked over my face as he bit his bottom lip. A random synapse fired off, reminding me of my family lore: Mom and Dad’s first kiss happened after they’d gotten into an argument in debate class.

Huh.Argue-fucking might be a family trait.

Joel nodded as though he’d come to some sort of conclusion.“Fast and meaningful it is.”

This time he drowned me in a hard press of lips, his tongue sliding forward. I let him in as I gathered my courage, allowing my hands to explore him, greedy as they landed on his well-developed ass. Our groans became a duet as he pressed his granite erection against mine.

“O-office?” I asked.

“Yes.” He checked the time. “But we’ve only got twelve minutes before opening.”

“I can work with that.”

Grinning, he dragged me back behind the bar, down a short hallway, and into a tiny, exquisitely neat office. The couch was small but serviceable, so I shoved him down. He landed with a grunt, laughing, and I pushed my way between his thighs. Stretching up for a kiss, I lifted his shirt, unzipped his jeans, and… Fucking hell.

His chuckle was a deep rumble, and he lifted his hips as I pulled down his jeans and underwear.Oof. “Hello, big boy.”

Stroking his cock slowly, he angled it toward my lips. “Wanna taste?”

I answered by leaning forward and taking him into my mouth, my eyes rolling back at the sensation of him on my tongue.

“Jesus, Tristan,” he choked out, his hand cupping the back of my head.

I grinned around the impossibly hard flesh, then took him to the back of my throat as I palmed his flat belly.

“Fuck. Fuck.Fuck.”
