“Yes, that is necessary.” As they rode towards the cabins and lodges, Brianna said, “This ride is the most fun I’ve had in a while.”

A couple hours later, Emma was waving goodbye to Brianna’s SUV.

“I’ll get back to you with my final answer by tomorrow,” Brianna had said before the door shut and the car sped off.

Satisfied that she had done her best, Emma turned around and headed into the main building. She was lost in her thoughtsand so, bumped into someone. Emma’s head snapped up and her eyes widened in recognition.

“Hi, ice cream man,” Emma said, her lips turned up in a smile.

The brown haired guy chuckled and he ran a hand through his hair. “Ice cream man?”

“Yeah, that’s what my kids call you.”

“Your kids...?” his brown eyes widened and she could see his surprise.

“Yeah... Remember? The ones you bought ice cream for in the park? Oh, I’m sorry, it seems you’ve forgotten. It was a couple of days ago. I’m pretty sure I’m not wrong. I don’t mix up faces,” Emma told him, tapping her chin.

“Uh... Yeah, I remember,” he said quickly with a smile.

“I didn’t know you’re staying here although I did know that you were from out of town.”

“Yea... I was actually on my way here that day. The car broke down so we had to get it fixed,” he explained.

“I see... Well I hope you enjoy your stay here at Price Emerald.”

“Thanks.... So... Uh... You work here?”

Before Emma could reply, there was a loud call of, “Mommy!”

She turned around and hugged the twins who had just ran up to her.

“Well you look excited,” Emma said as she planted kisses on their cheeks. She looked around them and back at them, “Where’s Nana?”

“Uh...” Mia said.

Emma turned to Max, a brow quirked, “What did I say about waiting for Nana after she unclasps the car seats?”

Max bowed his little head and his shoulders drooped, “Sorry mommy. Mia wanted to show you her drawing. I didn’t want her to fall and get a boo-boo. She was really, really fast.”

Emma smiled and she hugged her son, “Thanks for looking out for your sister, Max.”

“It’s ice cream man!” Mia exclaimed and Emma straightened up.

“Hi,” the guy said shyly with a little wave.

Maria hurried in just then. “Sorry about the kids, Emma. I let them out of the car seat. I turned to get my bag and they were gone.”

“It’s fine, Maria. We should go up. We can all have lunch before you head on to the house. Gramps is having some friends over for lunch so he won’t even notice your absence.”

Maria chuckled and nodded, “That sounds good.”

“Great, I’ll call the kitchen.” Emma turned to the stranger and said, “It was nice meeting you again. I should go.”

“Sure,” he said with a nod.

Emma hurried off with the kids on both sides.
