I’ve seen that look too many times before.
Sierra moves away and sits beside Lorena with a blank expression.
Not on my fucking watch.
“Did he just—” Kai begins, but I’m up before he can finish.
I see red, my temper getting the better of me as I stride to Declan, spinning him around and grabbing him by the throat.
Slamming his head against the wall, I don’t even try to contain my rage as the bar staff call for security.
“If you think you can lay a fucking hand on her, you’re mistaken.”
Declan’s eyes narrow into slits as he attempts to shove me away.
“Fuck you and your fucking crush. You’re pathetic; it’s me she’s with.”
I don’t respond.
Kai is by my side, staring at Declan menacingly as he pulls me away.
“Get the fuck out of here. You’re no longer invited.” Kai growls, nodding at security, who take in the scene. “Take him out of here!”
Declan whips his head to Sierra, who’s watching with wide, tear-filled eyes.
“I’m not standing for this shit, Sierra. Your fucking family is crazy!”
“Just go, Declan.” Sierra rises to her feet, crossing her arms over her chest as a manic smile takes over my face.
“You heard her,” Kai mutters, pulling me back. “Fuck off.”
Declan holds his hand out to Sierra.
“Come on, Sierra. Don’t fucking start.”
My fists ball up by my sides, but soon enough, a small hand slides across it, lacing her fingers through mine.
“I’m not starting, Declan. I’m finishing it.”
I haven’t ever been so fucking proud of anyone.
“He’s not worth it,” Kai snaps, glaring at Declan, who sneers at me.
“You can fucking have her. She’s used goods anyway.”
I lunge forward as Declan grins, bracing himself for impact.
My arms are pulled back from both sides, and when I see Kai and Sierra holding me back, their eyes lock on mine.
“Let him go,” Kai mutters. “I need you in Miami.”
“Give me my passport and my fucking diamonds back! Skanky little bitch!” Declan spits out as security grip his arms firmly.
“You’re coming with us until you calm down, son.”
“They’ve got my fucking passport!”
“Who has it?” I ask, my chest aching with the unreleased rage that’s built up there.
