Her statement stunned him. Was he in love with Kaiya?
Jalissa grinned when he remained silent then walked away. Tyler watched her leave, and his mind remained in turmoil. He took a seat in the wicker chair to go over things in his mind when Finn came up next to him with a plate in hand.
“So, what are your intentions toward my sister-in-law?” Finn asked as he settled on a chair beside Tyler.
Tyler groaned. “Why are you just asking me this?”
The man reclining on the wicker chair beside him sighed and said, “Truthfully, Kalilah made me ask. I would have taken another approach, but I’ve come to realize that the saying, happy wife, happy life, is indeed true.”
Tyler’s body shook with laughter.
“What plans do you have for Kaiya?” Finn asked again.
“Kaiya and I are taking things one day at a time.”
“Don’t hurt her because if you do, it’s going to upset Kalilah a lot, which means, I’ll be affected, and I don’t need a rift between us. I got an earful when you arrived here, and she discovered I was your business partner. So, please don’t put me through that again.”
Laughing, Tyler nodded and told him he didn’t have an intention to hurt Kaiya.
Finn thanked him, and then they focused their attention on the party where the kids were having the time of their lives. Tyler saw Kaiya going into the house. He excused himself and went after her. Ever since they arrived at Finn’s place, they hadn’t had a moment to themselves.
He grinned when he saw Kaiya head into the washroom. He entered the room close behind her and swirled her around. A little scream of surprise rose in her throat, but he silenced it with a kiss.
Wrenching her lips from his, she hit his chest playfully and laughed. “You scared me.”
“Really?” He smiled and drew her closer into his arms. “I thought you heading here was like a signal for me to follow you.”
“What?” Laughter burst from her throat. “The thought never crossed my mind.”
He cocked his brows with a glint in his eyes. “Are you sure? I could have sworn that I saw you undressing me with these sexy eyes of yours a moment ago.”
She shook her head, laughing. “You’re incorrigible, Ty.”
He threw back his head, and warm laughter tore from his throat. Then his eyes darkened, and his head lowered. Teasingly, he parted Kaiya’s lips with his. Her hands instantly went into his hair, caressing and massaging it as she pressed her body against his hard length. His hands reached for her breasts, and he caressed them, flipping his fingers across her rock-hard nipples. Kaiya moaned with pleasure against his lips which were moving demandingly against hers. She was already undoing his buckle when they heard a burst of noise outside the door. They both came back to earth instantly and quickly drew apart with labored breaths. Tyler took in deep and slow breaths to bring his heated body back under control. When he felt he had put his desire in order again, he winked at Kaiya.
“I’ll be waiting outside.”
She nodded without saying a word, her cheeks flushed, and her lips swollen from his kisses. Tyler stepped away from the place and saw several children playing there. As soon as one of them saw him, she smiled at him and then went into the washroom.
Tyler raked his fingers through his hair, feeling like a teenager all over again. He had got carried away by the sight of Kaiya. He would have to find a way to get a control of himself next time. This was a party with kids moving all over the place.
Even though he felt he shouldn’t have given in to the urge of wanting to make love so badly to Kaiya, he grinned. He had enjoyed the short make-out session. He was glad that Kaiya was always ready for him. It was a huge turn-on for him.
Whistling softly under his breath, he went to the living room, and thankfully, it was empty. He settled himself on one of the couches in the large space and waited for his woman. She joined him some minutes later, carrying a smile across her beautiful face.
“What?” he questioned as she sat down beside him.
“There’s a very inquisitive little girl in the washroom asking all sorts of questions.” Kaiya giggled, and the sound sent a warm flush running through him.
Tyler laughed. “What did you tell her?”
“That you lost your way, and I was giving you directions.”
They burst into laughter.
“Kalilah told me a moment ago that she invited my parents.”
