The movement of his hips increased as he slid into her repeatedly. Lost in a frenzy of passion he hadn’t experienced in a long while, he pounded mercilessly into her, totally oblivious of their surroundings as she moaned with pleasure.

His mouth claimed hers as she reached her peak while he went on thrusting in and out of her for a while before his body convulsed with sensations as old as time itself. With a guttural groan, he let go of himself and enjoyed the tumultuous feelings that poured out of him. His hot seed spilled unrestrainedly into her as spasms kept on rippling through him in one of his most explosive orgasms ever.

Just as he had feared that day on his couch a week ago, one taste of Kaiya wouldn’t be enough. Already, he wanted her again.

Shit!

***

The realization of what she had just done with Tyler hit Kaiya when he slowly pulled out of her. Immediately he stepped away from her, she quickly drew her dress up, avoiding his gaze.

Kaiya couldn’t believe that she had just had sex with Tyler considering there was a room full of people a few feet away. And to make it worse, she wanted to do it all over again. Her face reddened as she recalled the expert way he just brought her to fulfillment. If she was being sincere with herself, he was the best she ever had. Right from their first time together till now, years later.

He must have gained a wealth of experience over the years. Resentment pulsed through her as she remembered that while he was having sex with her, he was also doing the same with Lena.

Thank God she didn’t get anything from him. Well, except her son.

The euphoria of the moment came crashing down to be replaced by icy derision. She remembered how much he had hurt her.

“That was a mistake,” she said into the awkward silence that had fallen between them as they struggled to steady their breaths. “I can’t believe I allowed you to have sex with me when you’re nothing but a liar!”

Tyler jerked his head back as if she had struck him. His eyes narrowed. “A liar? What did I ever lie to you about?”

Seeing that her panties were ruined, she threw them in the bin and curled her lip at him.

“You told me that you and Lena were just friends; housemates,” she threw at him with a savage bite. “When you were, in fact, lovers. You were sleeping with both of us and couldn’t be man enough to admit it. Coward!”

Looking stunned, Tyler’s lips tightened. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. If there’s any coward here, it’s you!”

Aghast, she stared at him with fury. “Coward? How dare you call me a coward, you no-good, lying, two-timing piece of shit.”

Tyler’s face became as hard as a rock. “You can call me whatever you want. It doesn’t hide the fact that you left me and threw away everything we created without giving us a chance.”

“Left you?” Kaiya almost reached out to claw his eyes out for daring to throw that accusation her way. He was indeed a liar! Trying to save face when confronted with the truth.

She opened her mouth to cuss him out when her phone buzzed inside her clutch. Ignoring him, she took the clutch from the ground where it had dropped when he shoved her into the washroom and opened it.

Kaiya clutched at her chest as she read the text that just came in. It was from her mom. Kalilah was in labor. She returned the phone back to the clutch and gave him a glare packed with contempt.

“While I would love to continue this conversation, to show you how much of a lair you are, I’ve got to go.”

“What’s wrong?”

She heard the reluctance in the question, and she bit the inside of her cheek, wondering if she should tell him what was going on since it was none of his business. Surmising that he wouldn’t let her go until she told him as he was blocking the entrance, she acquiesced.

“Kalilah is in labor. I’m heading to the hospital right now,” she informed him perfunctorily.

“What hospital is she in?”

Her brows went up. “What business of it is yours?

Grimacing, he said, “You’ve changed.”

Those words warmed her more than anything he had said or done since he came back to Montreal. What did he expect? That she would become all putty in his arms, forget about his betrayal? Her color heightened when she remembered that she had indeed become putty in his hands a short while ago, and had, in fact, begged him to make love to her. Frostily, she replied, “You just never knew me.” Then she told him the name of the hospital.

He stepped aside as she brushed past him, grateful to be away from his intoxicating presence. She quickly redid her makeup before dashing out of the place as if it was on fire.

Outside the hall, she took in large gulps of air, trying to steady her nerves before she drove to the hospital. As she slid into the cool interior of the car, she realized that Tyler didn’t use any protection, and she had just gotten off the pill since she broke things with Marcus.
