“If you enjoyed it, then you enjoyed it. No sense trying to curate the things you like to fit a theme.”

“It’s just… it’s a bit…”

I paused. “It’s a bit what?”

She shrugged. “Does it never feel wrong to you?”

“Oh.” I laughed. “Not for one second. This is beautiful. We’re just exploring the things that make us feel good. I wouldn’t put a moral judgment on it any more than I would on eating a bowl of ice cream and enjoying how it tastes good.”

“Ah, well, the thing about that is,” she said in an awkward voice.

“Oh, food guilt too, huh? I heard your grandma was real big on the moral shame.”

She softened further back into me, laying more weight on me, and I went with it, lying on my back and letting her lay on top of me. I teased my hand over her thigh, just touching her, feeling her, as she spoke softly. “I have to admit, it’s been… good for me, watching your attitude towards food. Like it’s just something that you enjoy.”

“I still try to eat okay,” I said. “I just focus more on eating more healthy foods instead of eating less unhealthy food. Sometimes you want a cinnamon roll.”

“I like that approach,” she said quietly, stroking her fingers over my leg, too. I went from zero to a hundred arousal as soon as I felt her fingertips on my thigh. “I’m wondering if it would be a… similar effect on my… my attitudes towards…”

“Towards fucking like bunnies.”

“Well, you are very good, unsurprisingly,” she said, voice awkwardly formal.

“I’m a little horny again, if I’m being honest…”

“I probably do need to get started on working… I’d hate to lose my schedule.”

“You don’t sound thrilled about it.”

She pushed out a short, exasperated sigh. “Would I rather be working or touching you again, of course I’d rather be touching you again. But that doesn’t pay the bills for me.”

I laughed. “Shame. It’s a good life. I could just take care of it real quick while you get cleaned up and then we can grab breakfast…?”

“I suppose…”

I hesitated before I ventured, “Or I could try making breakfast while I have a remote-controlled vibrator inside me and you could, you know, get in the way.”

She stirred against my body a little. “I guess you are a professional.”

Of course she couldn’t just say she wanted it. She was cute like that, though.

Nikki hadn’t been wrong—it was fantastic for my work inspiration. After the best breakfast of my life, we got cleaned up, and Victoria went off to her room to get some work done, laughing awkwardly that maybe she’d be able to focus this time, and I took advantage of the newfound change in dynamics to sit in the living room with no pants on while I tapped away at my latest book on my laptop. Newly inspired, I thought maybe it would be hot for the sexy lesbian minotaur to have some insecurities poke through, and our chaste heroine had to reckon with the fact that her judgment of the minotaur’s filthy, deviant ways clashed with her compassion, wanting to help heal these wounds of the heart… which of course led to more fucking.

I was as surprised as anyone to find, as the sun was getting low outside the windows at the end of a workday, the book was finished. I sent it off to Gina and another friend who was a big monsterfucking fan and had been diligently reading every word of the series, and Gina was the one who gushed to me first about how I’d finished it so quickly.

In the spirit of having what we wanted, I texted Victoria to ask if pizza sounded good, and so Victoria got to meet Gina too, over a supreme pizza. Gina loved her, obviously, even though Victoria didn’t get to talk much—Gina went a mile a minute gushing about how nice it was to finally meet the sexy roommate, and then gushing about my work, my new book, and then about her hot girlfriends, who were the reason the call ended—one of them got home, and she flounced away to go have dinner with her girlfriend and tell her girlfriend she loved her and get savagely fucked by her girlfriend.

“She’s a bit of a handful, but she’s one of my best friends,” I said once the call ended.

“You finished an entire book today?”

“It’s a short book. And I only finished writing the second half.” I paused. “I mean, I could share it if you want, but, uh, I don’t know if it’s your cup of tea.”

She laughed. “Maybe I’ll have a look at what you have online. But that’s still incredibly impressive.”

“I had a good source of inspiration,” I said cheerfully. “How did work go for you? Were you distracted at any point?”

She huffed slightly, looking away. “Yes. A little bit. At one point.”
