Coming over to him, I gave him an embrace.

“I’ll be back in a flash,” I said.

“And what about dad?”

“I’m sure he’s somewhere with a cute blond between his legs.”

We were both unsure if I was right. My gut was telling me that something was off. Now that Talia had fully gone off the rails there was no way in hell that I would put anything past her.

The Dons were being extinguished. They had dared to meet with me and discuss peace and cut Talia out of it.

She had killed her own father.

“Maybe,” Enzo rubbed at his temples. “What are you going to tell Diamond.”

“Just another business meeting,” I gave a weak smile. “I’ll be taking Alphonse and James with me. Dad has plenty of men on him, I’m sure he’s fine.”

My stomach still seemed to wobble at the thought but I pushed through it.

Talia and I needed to solve this once and for all.

I really didn’t want to kill her but I feared that was what it was going to take.

Chapter 30

Diamond

“I hate you,” I’d bit out as he had fucked me hard. My pussy walls had clenched to take it all. They wanted all of his long hard thickness.

My eyes had rolled back in my head, only seeing a glimpse of the white ceiling above as I had held on for dear life. Thierry had pinned me up against the wall while my ass was on my vanity in our bedroom. It had threatened to collapse under my weight.

“Tesoro, don’t be angry with me. It’ll only be for a day or so…”

“Uhhh..you’re …fuck you feel so good.”

I was trying to claw the flesh off his back I was so mad. He just continued to smile that fucking smile I hated. It was his, “I’m fucking your brains out,” smile.

With a few more thrusts, he finished inside of me.

I was pissed because I’d wanted to tell him about the possible pregnancy. Instead, he was going off to New York for a business meeting.

“Why can’t you do a Zoom call?” I asked adjusting my hair.

A lot of my perfumes and scarves that I had neatly placed on the vanity were now on the floor. They had created some sort of intricate pattern on the carpeted floor.

Rolling my eyes, I stooped down to gather all of my things up and place them back in their spots. When everything had been put into place, I’d turned and watched Thierry shove clothing inside of his suitcase.

“Because this needs to be done in person. Diamond, you’re a business woman you know there are some things communicated better in person.”

I had pouted, still pissed.

The Deucehad had a great opening night but I was on edge about the rest of the week. Thierry and I had created magic together and I was superstitious.

When he had finished packing he’d dropped a kiss on my cheek. “A day or two, and I’ll be back to piss you off.”

Sometime around seven in the morning, he’d kissed me goodbye and promised to call. I murmured a sleepy goodbye and had gone back to sleep.

Now I was sitting in the OBGYN office of Metro Mercy to see Naomi. She was the only person I would trust with such a sensitive thing.
