“Okay?” Dakota swept a lock of hair out of her eye.

“More than okay.”

He smiled, his gentle kiss fracturing something in her chest. Immediately, she shored up her outer shell, plastering reality against the tender emotions trying to squeeze free. This was about sex and pleasure. Nothing else, no matter what her traitorous heart tried to assert.

Kansas eased in too, and Dakota let out a pitiful groan. “Have mercy, bro. My cock wants to detonate.”

“Don’t,” Kansas suggested, and Renee laughed.

Kansas retreated and pushed back inside her, going deeper this time. Dakota distracted her with another kiss, catching her moan with her mouth.

Finally, he bottomed out, and he paused, letting her experience the fullness and the pulse of their cocks inside her. “Are we good to go?”

“Yes.” Dakota sounded on the grumpy side.

“Yes,” Renee agreed, velvet tension gripping her, a coil of energy building in her lower body.

Kansas pulled back before surging inside her. Dakota fell into a rhythm, retreating and invading in counterpoint. The two men surrounded her with ridged abs and bulging pectorals. Their mouths pressed against her flesh and she coasted onward, upward, propelled by their measured strokes. The bolts of pleasure grew, and she strained to reach the blissful finish line.

Their male scents surrounded her while heat and pressure rampaged the length of her body. Chills and fire warred, and a thought struck Renee. Sex was the only way she knew she was alive. The rest of the time, she existed in the waiting zone. It was only a matter of time before Vega caught up to her. She’d admitted this to herself during the early hours of the morning. Sometimes, she wondered why she didn’t give him a call and tell him where to find her. Except that would be giving up, and Hunter would hate her for surrendering. He’d wanted to live for his child.

A sharp nip at her neck refocused her. A second nip, slightly harder had her writhing in the heat of her lovers.

“That’s better,” Dakota muttered. “Kansas and I prefer our lover to pay attention. Drifting off in that way isn’t flattering to us.” He slid back into her and hunger grew—a razor-sharp desire.

“Aw, man,” Kansas said.

A hand slid between their bodies and masculine fingers gave her clit the perfect stroke. Her breathing went shallow and the muscles of her inner-thighs quivered. She fought a little whimper as tension crawled through her belly. A prickle grew at her clit, bigger and more intense and her flesh pulsed—a sharp spike of enjoyment before the sensations expanded with molten force into a series of languorous waves. Her channel clenched Dakota’s cock, and his next thrusts became erratic. He groaned in her ear and nipped her shoulder. Behind her, Kansas shoved into her with less precision and seconds later, he moaned his release. He, too, nipped at her flesh, the twin pains causing more rapid spurts of pleasure.

Renee’s heart took time to settle into its normal beat as she came down from the ecstasy. Warm and replete and boneless, she exhaled.

“Thank you, sugar,” Kansas purred in her ear. He pulled back without haste and wandered off to the en suite. She heard the water running but didn’t have the energy to move. Dakota wasn’t protesting her weight on his chest, so she stayed right where she was and sighed with satisfaction when Dakota wrapped his arms around her.

Kansas returned, leaving the light on. “Want a quick shower to clean up?”

“Good idea.” Dakota lifted her off him, taking care to make sure the condom remained in place. “The hot water will relax your muscles.”

Renee yawned and let Kansas lead her into the en suite. He pushed her under the warm water and soaped up a cloth. By the time Dakota joined them, Kansas had her cleaned. He tugged Renee from the shower to give Dakota room.

Five minutes later, they were back in bed, tucked under the covers. Renee yawned again and her eyes slid shut, relaxing into the closeness enforced on them by the single bed.

When Renee woke, only one man held her and it was neither Dakota nor Kansas. She froze, assessing the level of danger. The man with his arms wrapped around her smelled of mountains and greenery, yet the gloom hid his features. He wasn’t exerting pressure or trying to choke her. She made a guess and came up with Calian. “What are you doing here?”

Calian cupped her cheek and kissed the tip of her nose. “I wanted to spend time with you.”

“What time is it?” Off-balance, she wasn’t sure how to react. Should she react with anger or go with her instincts?

“It’s early. Almost five in the morning. Not a morning person, sweetheart?”

“I always need coffee to wake.”

“I’m a fan of coffee,” he agreed. “Do you mind me being here with you? I’ll leave if you want.”

“Where are Dakota and Kansas?” she asked, avoiding an answer just yet.

“Kansas fell out of bed. He accused Dakota of pushing him. It’s a wonder you didn’t hear the commotion.”

“I didn’t hear a thing.” Which was strange since these days she was a light sleeper.
