Dash, my dad’s wolf, linked, “Pup, your mate is fine.” Kiara retorted, “I will get that vindictive she bitch if she upsets my mate right now. Mommy Queenie Meanie will be no more, and the area will be better off for it.” Dash chuckled, “I see.”
Dad came back to link, “Lacy Loo, take back over.” I replied, “Fine.” I’d just give it back to Kiara if Cassandra did something stupid. Lucas linked, “Why did Kiara take over?” I answered, “You already know the answer to that.”
Lucas reasoned, “Cassandra wasn’t even here.” I snorted, “She’s never here when things go wrong. Except that time Haley was kidnapped, and I find her SUSPECT AND ANNOYING! If she upsets my mate today, she’s dead.”
Kiara asked, “Why not just let me stay in control when that’s your criteria? Mommy Queenie Meanie always does something stupid.” That was a good point. Cassandra used to be very good at covering her own ass. Now, she was a bitter old hag and everyone noticed it.
Dad linked, “Cassandra seems genuinely shocked Dylan almost died.” I replied, “That doesn’t mean she didn’t have something to do with this. Dylan wasn’t supposed to be over here on this border. He was coming home.”
Dad gasped, “You actually think Cassandra had something to do with to quote your mate ‘Team Party Fowl’ being here?” I growled, “I know she did. I can feel it.” Emmaline snickered down the link, “Dylan checked Cassandra so hard even Haley is smirking.”
I glanced back at Haley and found her looking at the ground. Her eyes danced with amusement, but her face was masked again when she looked up. Emmaline linked, “I know she’s not now, but I saw it. I feel so proud of myself right now for seeing that brief yet glorious moment.”
I agreed, “That’s a stellar catch since your cousin’s emotions are always on lock.” Kiara snarled, “LET ME KILL MOMMY QUEENIE MEANIE FOR GROWLING AT OUR MATE.” Lucas linked, “Lacy Frost, calm down.” I snarled, “She growled at him!”
Lucas replied, “It was a pitiful growl and Dylan clocked it.” Cassandra caught my gaze and her eyes widened. Nathan took a step towards her, but it wouldn’t save Cassandra from me. Even he if was close enough, which he wasn’t. Something that woman finally realized.
Kiara grumbled, “Yeah, you run Mommy Queenie Meanie. I see you, Cassandra.” I watched in deep amusement as a skunk sprayed her. I linked Emmaline, “Oh my god.” Jackie linked,“STOP IT!” God, that stench was horrid but worth it.” My jaw dropped when Cassandra yelled at Haley.
Kiara said, “I may be deaf from Thor’s rage about that.” Jackie growled, “That old woman is too bold.” No joke. Haley looked utterly bored during the confrontation, but Eric was turning red with anger. Kiara snorted, “If someone was attacking our pregnant Luna verbally, I would as well. And Emmaline is our sister in law, not our mate. Cassandra is lucky she has said nothing to Emmaline, or I would kill her.”
Jackie linked, “Ohhh I can just sense a pack rule we’ve never heard from Black Mountain incoming.” Right, but every time it happened I watched the older pack members who nodded. Plus, I knew Haley had the pack tradition book and Emmaline had read it too.
Emmaline smirked, along with all the Fairies here, as Haley smacked Cassandra down with her own rules. Those smirks were gone when Cassandra blamed Haley. Kiara snarled, “SEE?! MOMMY QUEENIE MEANIE DID THIS!”
I replied, “You don’t have to convince me. You know we need proof against a former Luna for our pack and this one. Lucas would need it because he would go after her. Eric would gladly toss her to us at this point for her crimes.”
Kiara snorted, “Except our sister in law has a plan that involves Fairies.” I agreed, “We can make her suffer with Fairies, wolves, Hackura, AND the Hood.” My pups being mated to hybrids would easily play into that plan. Everyone would agree because my logic was infallible.
Everyone who could link me did, cackling when Dylan threw gasoline on the fire that was Eric’s rage at his mom. My mate pointed out how pregnant Haley was. I nearly screamed with joy when Aiden threw down a command. He so rarely did that in this realm, let alone to Haley. It was scream worthy every time though, because it was always perfectly timed.
Kiara agreed, “Cassandra should have to smell like a skunk.” I realized what was odd about that. I asked my wolf, “Why don’t you call her Kena? You usually occasionally, if not exclusively, refer to wolves as their counterparts.”
Kiara replied, “I’ve never talked to Kena. Everyone says she’s nice though.” I gasped, “Never?” Kiara admitted, “Kena sleeps a lot. I don’t blame her though.” Well, that was fair really. I’d do anything to get away from my bitter human too.
Dylan and I were happily munching on popcorn. I even passed some to Jackie, Travis, and Emmaline after they ran out from Dylan’s first round. Heck, even Lucas took some. Kiara snickered, “You know it’s good when Dominic is getting in on it.” I did know that.
Kiara purred, “I told Dominic to lighten up. I love the double cocky entendres mate is using.” I loved it too. Dylan started getting the Alpha’s riled up for the competition for releasing Fairy Magic. Dad linked, “This is where your mom and I head further back all while keeping you pups in eyesight, but firmly out of hearing range.” I nearly laughed out loud.
Emmaline linked, “Dylan was coming back to goad Eric?” I replied, “It’s on the actual schedule he timed up. He planned to find Lucas and stay out of sight and yell to him that he needed to up his game. He had some jokes typed out for both Eric and Lucas.”
Emmaline snickered, “Oh my god. That is the most Dylan thing of all time.” It was and I adored it. I was trying to give Dylan this present, but he was taking it and making sure my dreams came true too. I really wanted another pup, and he knew it.
Dylan walked through it all. I linked Emmaline, “My Frost filled Christmas still stands for the gosh darn stupid Goblin realm!” Emmaline agreed, “I already texted my family and Aiden about it. It’s happening. Hexxi is thrilled.”
YES! I needed that crazy off the wall Fairy to do something since Aiden was the one who could make it snow. Hexxi could do things with the snow though. Kiara snorted, “Not normal things.” I agreed, “Exactly, and that needs to happen for my sanity! More no holds barred fun for Hexxi. It’s quite the time for her. Think of how happy we will make our Luna’s sister.” Kiara snickered.
Dylan told the story in dramatic fashion that was driving even my brother insane. Travis linked, “That’s part of his plan, isn’t it? Dylan wants them to move onto one of them releasing magic.” I agreed, “It is.” Travis laughed down the link.
I told him, “Actually, the plan is that they all release it.” Travis gasped, “You’re kidding.” I chuckled, “No, Dylan took over my idea and wanted to ensure its success.” Travis acknowledged, “That is very much like my brother.” It was and I loved the man for it.
Dylan picked me up and ran. Kiara purred, “Mate is so hot.” I knew that. Dylan ran the whole way to our home in Black Mountain territory. Dylan gasped, “What is all this?” I admitted, “I found of bunch of Christmas sex toys I thought we could enjoy.”
Dylan grabbed the red bell clit vibrator and promptly wiggled his eyebrows. My mate commented, “Well what great cheer this group of toys brings. Is that a gingerbread man AND A SANTA HAT vibrator!”
I answered, “It is.” Dylan squealed, “CHRISTMAS BELL NIPPLE CLAMPS! I ADORE YOU, LACY FROST!” I slammed my lips on his and pushed him back against the counter. I warned, “You don’t get to leave me.”
Dylan agreed, “I shan’t ever leave you, Lacy Frost. There were plans and I knew Haley could save me, even if it hurt temporarily. Leaving you was never happening. Nothing could keep me away. You’re mine and mine alone.”
