I shot a glance at Eric who looked every inch of his reputation right now. I knew that Eric’s own heart had been sputtering in his chest. The man didn’t allow things like this to happen in his area, and he loved Dylan. We were all family.

I linked my pups, “You dad is fine.” Buttercup sobbed, “Mom.” I told her, “Sweet girl, dad is ok.” Finn sniffled, “Really? He didn’t have to be healed or anything?” I answered, “He didnot require a healing. You know he’ll link you soon, but he’s making the whole surrounding area smile and feel better.”

Buttercup growled, “They should be making dad laugh!” I told her, “Your dad would have it no other way. This is his element and he’s quite literally in it. Feel all your feelings about this. I was mad and downright pissed off myself. If you need to go to the gym, go there.”

My pups had Alpha blood, so sometimes they just needed to kick the crap out of a punching bag. Finn growled, “When I get my wolf, rogues will RUE the day they even looked at dad.” I agreed, “I’m sure they will.”

Finn could hold a grudge in a fun way because he was the perfect mix of mine and Dylan’s personalities. Even if he looked just like his dad and acted like a Mini Dylan most of the time. My DNA had its moments in our oldest.

I glared at every Warrior from Black Mountain. I could take my share of them. Kiara agreed, “We can.” Lucas linked, “They were prevented by magic from getting to Dylan.” I shot back, “Counterpoint, if it was Emmaline you’d have already punched them. I’m merely glaring and now I’m going to threaten them.” Lucas made a face but didn’t say anything else.

Mom linked, “You tell them how it is, honey.” EXACTLY! Dad chuckled, “Give ‘em hell, Lacy Loo. Show off that Alpha blood.” Yeah, people seemed to forget my standing, but they weren’t going to after today. No siree. Dylan was the funny one in this couple. I enjoyed his humor, but I was the serious one of the two of us. I could also kick SERIOUS ass.

Emmaline snickered, “Dylan got Lucas to complain about you being his sister.” I replied, “He’s been trying to get Lucas to say that the whole time.” Emmaline admitted, “I know. Lucas does feel like they’ve slipped back into their groove now with that comment.” Because that’s what Dylan did for everyone. He got everything back to normal.

Kiara snarled, “Everything is a threat right now, Lacy. If Mommy Queenie Meanie comes over here and so much as ROLLS HER EYES at mate, I will rip out of you and KILL HER!” I replied, “We can easily take a Gamma blood who never works out, Kiara.” Everyone would understand that reaction right now. Maybe they’d even thank us.

Beta Hank detailed how he got to Dylan. A sob was bubbling in the back of my throat as tears pricked my eyes. Aiden even showed up. Kiara said, “Everyone will come for mate if he needs it.” Dylan didn’t see his adopted family had also shown up. His parents were both hugging each other.

I heard a low growl. I linked Davis, “YOU SHUT UP! I’m feeling some good will for you back there right now. You came when you weren’t told to. Which is the bare minimum, let’s be honest. Dylan is your son. So, don’t growl at his adopted parents. Ya know what? GO THE FUCK HOME! I’m not in the mood and I’ll clock you so hard you won’t wake up for days if you so much as look in their direction right now.”

My father in law didn’t reply but he didn’t growl either. Farrin shot me an amused look. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I could link people, and he clearly knew I threw down threats to Davis. Kiara grumbled, “I also threatened his wolf. WE ARE AN ALPHA, GODDAMN IT!” I agreed, “We are.”

The Hackura came in armor, and I squeezed my mate tighter. Emmaline linked, “Everyone was coming. My dad sent people with Aiden. The troops will quite literally rally for Dylan if he’s in danger.” I cried, “Ok, but it wasn’t enough! We weren’t going to get to him.”

Emmaline disagreed, “Haley was going to. Plus, Travis had a plan and Beta Hank got there.” My hands were shaking. I desperately wished I had magic to release, so I could rage like Haley did when Eric got shot.

I wanted tornados, chaos, and hail. I wanted the world to know if they touched Dylan Frost, Lacy Frost was coming for them and I would make them regret all of their life choices. Kiara huffed, “Our last name is Frost, we should send bad weather at people.” That sparked a deliciously fun idea.

I linked Emmaline, “I need you to have your dad have people unleash a blizzard in the Goblin realm. They were part of this, and they need to understand my wrath. They tried to take Christmas and Dylanmas from my mate! They were party to people trying to take MY MATE from ME! SO, THEY GET A DAMN FROST FILLED CHRISTMAS! LITERALLY!”

Emmaline pointed out, “It’s September.” I replied, “Well, then it’s going to SNOW THERE UNTIL CHRISTMAS! No, the day after. I want a blizzard until the day after Christmas. I want frozen pipes, I want water and cold problems out the ass.” Emmaline grinned and seemed to be thinking.

My sister in law nodded, “I’m sure with Aiden helping we can make that happen.” I insisted, “I want them to know it is because of me.” Emmaline agreed, “They will know all about the reason for their, quite literal, frost filled Christmas.” The Goblins didn’t celebrate, but they could learn about Christmas while they froze to death for all I cared.

Kiara told me, “Fang is seething.” As he should be. I was all in on naming our child Hank. Hell, I’d name a girl Harriet in his honor too. I’d take care of that no matter the gender of our pup. Kiara snorted, “Fang is telling his swimmers that we are going for a boy and insisting his Beta blood will listen.”

I replied, “I mean he has the ability to make some things happen with his words because he intuitively knows some things are right as he says them. So, we are definitely having a boy.” Warmth filled me and Kiara.

Mom linked, “Well, I’ll just congratulate you on little Hank.” I whispered, “They tried to keep that from happening. Thesepeople tried to take Dylan from me, mom.” Mom replied, “Yes, but they failed. You’re holding onto him. Dylan Frost will not leave you, Lacy.”

Mom continued, “That boy has been gone over on you since you were born. He came into the hospital room to see you, and I watched it overtake his face. That boy was always going to do whatever he could for you.”

I hugged Hank Martin, wishing I could link him. My tears burned my eyes, and I couldn't hold them back anymore. Beta Hank squeezed me tightly and his mate put her hand on my shoulder, squeezing it in support.

I glanced at her, knowing Dylan would’ve done the same thing for Hank. I smiled weakly at her. I heard the quiver in Travis’s voice as he stated his plan. Kiara said, “Rhino would’ve landed that hit like a spear, not an arrow.” That was more than likely, considering Travis could throw really far.

Dylan was off the races to perform his experiment. Travis linked, “I know Dylan is doing this just because he wants me to feel better. All when I should be making him feel better.” I sighed, “Well, it’s multifaceted. My mate does want to prove it would work so he can brag about how smart you are. Plus, he does want you to know that it would’ve worked.”

Travis admitted, “We don’t know it would.” I replied, “I do. I’ve never doubted you and your quick thinking in my life. I won’t be starting now. You are one the smartest people I know, even if other people don’t see it.” I knew why Travis doubted himself, but Davis could suck on an egg. Kiara snickered in my head.

Haley and Dylan brought the scene back to life. Dad linked me laughing when Dylan snuck in a shot about Davis and Betty. I saw Davis roll his eyes, but he stayed until Travis threw the stick. Kiara sighed in relief, “It would’ve saved mate.” Yes, it would’ve because it had been a hell of a throw.

Davis touched his chest and slunk on back home. Kiara said, “Mate needs to stop saying he almost died.” I replied, “I’m right there with you on that.” I just knew my husband was going to continue to harp on it.

Emmaline linked, “Only Dylan could have everyone laughing right now.” Because there was no one on this earth, or any realm, like my mate. He had a unique charisma and charm to him. THAT THESE ASSHOLES ON TEAM PARTY FOWL TRIED TO TAKE FROM ME!

Kiara was back to growling. Mom linked, “Are you really naming the pup Hank?” I knew it was a distraction tactic given her earlier comment. I replied, “If Dylan is wrong, which we both already said he wasn’t, it will be Harriet.”
