I ran in the opposite direction, but he found me. Damn. Kiara chuckled, “So sad.” Dylan ravished me for the break he’d planned. I had to admit, his anything but clothes Christmasversion was definitely great. My husband could always point people in the right direction and with access to Fairies he outdid himself.
Kiara purred, “This is one of his best ideas.” I snorted, “Oh please. We can’t rank his ideas at this point because, generally speaking, all of his plans are great. The only reason his plans don’t work is if he doesn’t have all the details or information.” Kiara agreed, “True.”
Kiara grumbled while my husband was going down on us, “You do try to get away.” I replied, “I am NOT! It’s an uncontrollable response. Dylan can cage us in any way, and you love that.” Kiara acknowledged, “I definitely do love it.” I knew that. Eventually Fang came out to play.
Once we finished, I asked, “Kiara, do you….?” My wolf interrupted me, “I thought you weren’t going to ask.” Kiara took over and had fun with her mate. When we finished, I came forward and began wondering if Dylan was ready for next month.
Kiara snorted, “End of the month.” I snorted, “I know how math works out to make sure that we have a shot at having a Christmas pup.” Kiara replied, “Mate is ready.” My wolf was right because Dylan was definitely ready for another pup.
I knew if we managed to conceive, then our pup would be born on Christmas. You combine the Alpha blood with the Beta planner along with the amount of times Dylan would tell our pup to wait until Christmas; it was a done deal.
Kiara chuckled, “Our pups will get in on giving those instructions to their sibling too.” That was true. Buttercup and Finn would get involved and be all about having a sibling born on Christmas. We walked back once we were dressed. I scented my brother before I saw him.
Emmaline was tucked into his arm beaming. Dylan was sending us back, but he had more plans for later. Emmalinegrinned at me. I gave Dylan a kiss and then Emmaline popped us to Jackie. Travis chuckled, “And she’s taken away again.”
Emmaline winked, “Don’t worry, our return includes more sexy fun.” Travis snorted, “Of course it does. Dylan always wants his fun to continue.” I agreed, “That he does.” Jackie grabbed my hand and Emmaline popped us back.
Hexxi was there with Phiefan. The man winked at us and popped out. Hexxi blurted out, “We had sex in the snow.” I said, “Congratulations, please conjure new snow.” Hexxi looked scandalized saying, “We already did that.”
Kiara snorted, “She acts like we should know that occurred to her.” We got back in the water, and it felt like someone was giving me a massage. I asked, “What in the best thing ever is this?” Idel popped in and grinned.
Jackie groaned, “Oh my god, I love the water here.” Emmaline agreed, “It is really cool.” I asked, “Can you do this?” Hexxi said, “Of course she can, we just need to give her the charm.” Emmaline said, “If you text that charm to me immediately, I will forgive you for never telling me about this charm in the first place.”
Idel snorted, “Your Alpha would give you a massage if you wanted one.” Drinks were now conjured in a big punch bowl. Idel snapped us all some then asked, “Ok, where were we?” Jackie laughed, “Are you guys still on about Eric and Davis?”
Hexxi answered, “Yes, because I’m getting so many ideas of how to go specifically at Davis. Does Eric like Betty?” I answered, “Like is a strong word. Eric dislikes, but somewhat tolerated Davis while he had to. He flat out ignores Betty.”
Jackie snorted, “My mom once heard him say she was an enabler who was more like a chameleon.” Emmaline asked, “Huh?” Jackie explained, “Eric met Betty at her old pack when he was a pup before she met Davis.”
Idel snorted, “That’s hardly a crime.” Jackie replied, “Eric didn’t think it was. At the time, she was dating someone. Later he saw her with Davis, and he wasn’t exactly impressed. Eric said Betty turns into whoever she’s with and never has an original opinion. She parrots whoever she’s with.”
I winced admitting, “I could actually see that. Obviously, I didn’t see her as a pup with someone else like Eric did, but she really does just go along with what Davis does. She adopts his persona if he’s around. Betty always loved Dylan’s comedic side until Davis was around, then it was all ‘be a little more serious, Dylan’ type of deal.”
Emmaline snorted, “So, Betty’s a dating chameleon.” Idel sighed, “We need a different name for that because we can’t take the coolness of a Fae power to describe the ever so dull and dimwitted Betty.” I gasped, “She’s not dimwitted.”
Kiara hummed, “I mean it’s not wholly wrong though.” Jackie admitted, “As much as I don’t want to defend her, Betty is smart.” Idel snorted, “Is she? She let that man convince her to behave in a way that cost her personally on a deep level.”
Hexxi agreed, “That’s true.” Idel scoffed, “Of course it is. She abandoned her own children, came back to hurt them, and then gave up custody. I love and adore James with my whole heart, but I would set that man straight if he tried to change our pups from being who they are.”
Hexxi made a face then said, “Betty does seem like the type who wouldn’t stand up for either of her children in your realm if they liked the same sex. OH! That gives me a great idea.” I asked, “How? Because my mate is only allowed to joke about bedding men as we are now mated.” Kiara growled in my head.
Dylan made jokes, but he wasn’t into men. Kiara snorted, “He just wanted gay men to be into him.” Yes, which was funny. Hexxi winked, “I’d never separate mates, but giving bad dreams is such fun. We could then see exactly how they’d react.”
I chuckled until Idel’s phone rang. She answered it, putting her phone on speaker and rolling her neck as the water massaged her. “James, do you miss me already? I already know the pups had calmed down but are now back on their sugar rush.”
Beta James answered, “I do miss you, and I know you are aware of the goings on with the pups of the pack. That’s not why I called.” Idel chuckled, “What fun news do you have to tell me?” Beta James said, “You’ll like it. I’m calling because I wondered if you could ask the group you’re with, if they know why before the break happened Alpha Eric punched Alpha Ezra. Eric gave Ezra a black eye.”
I choked on my drink. Idel laughed, “I think Lacy might.” I replied, “Well, Eric hates him, but Dylan planned to tell Eric that Alpha Ezra threw rocks at the Werewolf Carolers he sent to their pack.” Beta James scoffed, “Alpha Ezra’s such a fucking dick. The idiot actually turned down a gift from Blue Moon?”
I answered, “I mean, technically speaking yes since Dylan is the Beta of our pack. I’m pretty sure Dylan is convinced this is all a part of his Christmas present to Eric because Eric likes to punch people he doesn’t like.”
Idel asked, “How did you find out about this, James-y? We don’t talk to them.” Beta James answered, “Beta Caleb sent out the sanctions Eric took Alpha Ezra to the Supernatural Council for since he’s not under the Werewolf one.”
I huffed, “I cannot believe they allowed packs to do that.” Beta James replied, “It reeks of corruption, but Eric demanded a monetary value for Dylan and Lucas submitted his own paperwork for the same, which Travis sent out.”
I laughed, “Because Travis is pulling Beta Duty today.” Beta James snorted, “I know. I have the schedule, Lacy. Red Run is now speaking with Alpha Ezra because it was their pack members that got rocks thrown at them. Alpha Eric wrote in thepaperwork upon finding out about the situation with the rocks being thrown he had to defend his allied pack with a punch.”
Idel snorted, “Do you all not see what I mean about Haley not having a healthy dose of fear for that man? Consort Eric wasn’t even there when it happened. Yet he went to another pack, who hates him, to punch that Alpha in the face.”
