“I don’t think making love to you could ever be described as a burden. A privilege is a better description.”
Will climbed onto the bed, and Sarla let go as she rested on the mattress. Will pulled the netting around them, closing them into their own world of love and passion. He kissed from her ankle up her calf, flicking his tongue behind her knee, and making her giggle. He grazed his teeth along her inner thighs before laving his tongue across her seam.
“More of that…Please.” Sarla watched Will as his mouth latched onto her pearl and sucked until she writhed. His fingers pressed into her as he brought his body to hover over hers. He suckled one breast then the other, kneading the one his mouth didn’t favor. He kissed her mouth, his tongue sliding past her teeth. She caught a hint of her taste and wondered if he enjoyed it or if that was why he moved away. She had her answer a moment later when he drew back and settled his shoulders between her thighs. He worked her heated flesh, his groans telling her he relished his task. She feared she might yank the hair from his head as her release crashed over her.
“Will!”
“Shh, sweetling. We don’t need to distract Theo and Vinita from their wedding night. I doubt Rob would even know if the roof fell down around him.”
“I don’t think any of us would.” Sarla opened her arms as Will came to rest on his forearms by her shoulders.
“I don’t wish?—”
“My turn to tell you to shh. I know you don’t mean to hurt me. It will pass. It should be brief, and then we can share our love with more than just words.” Sarla reached between them and guided his sword to her sheath. When she released him, he surged into her, breaking her barrier. She waited for the pain, but it was more like a pinch. She looked down and found Will buried within her.
“Sarla?”
“It didn’t hurt. It stung for a moment, but I only feel you now.”
“Can I move?” Will strained to remain still when his body—his cock—demanded he thrust.
“Yes, please.”
She met each thrust with a tilt of her hips. Sweat dripped from Will’s brow onto Sarla’s chest, mingling with her own perspiration. Will rolled onto his back, bringing Sarla to straddle him. He encouraged her to set her own pace, and she praised the sensation of having him so deep within her. They joined hands as they moved together until Sarla’s core tightened, squeezing Will’s rod. They tumbled over the edge into a gulf of pleasure that threatened to swallow them and never let them go. They lay in each other’s embrace, panting, until their skin cooled.
“Sleep well, my love. I shall see you when I wake.” Sarla kissed Will before burrowing beneath his chin, her arm slung over his waist.
“Sleep as long as you wish, sweetling. I will be here when you wake.”
It wasn’t long before they drifted into exhausted, but blissful slumber.
Chapter Nine
Theo followed Vinita through the door into the room where he’d found her that morning. He preferred walking in rather than climbing in. He locked the door once they were inside. They held hands, so when he stopped, she turned toward him. He drew her into his embrace as he pressed gentle kisses along her jaw and down her neck.
“I worry you will fear the man you saw last night.”
“You do? Why, Theo? You defended us. You kept ups both alive when I feared we would die before we could marry or make love.”
“I don’t want you to witness such violence. The side that comes out when I feel you’re threatened.”
“Do you enjoy the violence?”
“No. Never.” Theo appeared aghast that she might suspect he did.
“Then I do not fear you. I feel safe with you, untouchable by anyone but you.”
“You are. I will never relent in keeping you and our family safe. But I don’t want you to think I have a short temper or would ever turn on you.”
“I never imagined that for a moment. Theo, you would never lay a hand on me that wasn’t loving. I know that with every part of me.”
“Good.”
“Has this been worrying you?”
“Yes. You’ve placed your life in my hands, and I never want you to regret it.”
“Husband, take me to bed. Let me show you how much faith I have in you.”
