I’m not complaining, since I’ve never been more attracted to a she-wolf. I can’t get enough of my fill of Aurora’s ample curves, her voluptuous breasts, or her heart-shaped lips where her hot breath rolls over with every gasp and moan when I’m slowly thrusting into her.

What’s even more hypnotizing are her eyes as she stares at me as if she sees my soul. I drop a chaste kiss on her lips through my languid thrusts, lifting my head again only to find that her brown irises are circled by faint amethyst rings that grow brighter with every roll of my hips.

I’d seen that shade of purple before, back when she used her powers against the demon. The striking shade becomesmagnified the closer she is to her climax when I feel her walls tightening around my length. She moans softly and throws her head back, eyes closed, and rides out her high while I continue pushing into her until I’m joining her at the height of our passion.

She finally climbs down from the high, lifting her amethyst-veiled eyes at me, blinking obliviously at the surge of magic that’s taken over her. I feel it pulsing in the depths of her soul, begging to be let out, but Aurora seems to deny it, and before long, she blinks again, and the magic is gone.

Taking care to be gentle as I pull out and then fold her into my arms, I plant a kiss on the top of her head when she sighs and nuzzles her face into the crook of my arm.

“Aurora…?”

“Hm…?” she responds faintly, treading the fine line between consciousness and sleep.

“Have you been practicing using your magic?”

My question is followed by a moment of silence in which Aurora’s frame becomes rigid and tense.

“I—” she hesitates, prompting me to pull back only to look into her eyes.

“You can tell me,” I insist gently.

Aurora sighs and drops her gaze sheepishly. “I’ve only been practicing how to keep it at bay,” she admits. “After what happened at your parents’ home, I don’t wanna risk making any more mistakes.”

An influx of deep compassion washes over me as I prop my weight on one arm and stare deeply, motivated, into Aurora’s eyes, which have since lost the lilac glow that indicates her power.

“I caught a glimpse of your magic just now, Aurora. Ifeltit. It wants to be let out.”

Aurora sighs. “I’ve never felt it this strongly before,” she admits. “Ever since we’ve become…intimate…” She pauses to gulp shyly. “It’s been more intense, and it’s taking everything out of me to keep it controlled.”

My heart does a proud flip when I realize it’s because of our bond that her powers are surfacing. I feel duty-bound to help her gain control over those powers. “You don’t have to dampen it,” I assure her as I lift her hand and press a chaste kiss on her knuckles that seems to ignite a fiery glow of hope in her eyes. “You should be practicing your skills.”

“B-but you saw what happened when I tried…” she wails in protest, to which I shake my head determinedly.

“Forget what happened to the house, Aurora. You tried, and you were doing it alone. You don’t have to do it alone anymore.”

“What do you mean?” she asks with a curious frown.

“I mean…I’ll help you harness your skills. Your magic powers are a gift, and I’ll be honored to help you practice.”

“It’s not your job to—”

I cut her off quickly. “Uh-uh. Itismy duty, as your mate, Aurora. You are gifted, and I would like to see you realize that.”

Aurora hesitates for a moment as she contemplates my offer, her eyes flitting to our hands intertwined and pressed to my chest like a solemn oath. Finally, she nods slowly, a hopeful smile tilting her lips.

“I think you’re right,” she concedes with a timid nod. “I’d like to practice using my magic, as long as there’s nothing that can burn down.”

Chuckling lightly, I fall back onto the pillow and gather Aurora into my arms. “The only thing that might burn down is me, so just be cautious not to set fire to your alpha.”

Aurora bursts out in laughter. “Your jokes aren’t so bad after all, Alpha Elias.”

Joining her, I bury my face into her warm tresses of hair. “See? I knew I could make you laugh if I tried hard enough.”

Aurora looks anything but cheerful as she stands in the training center’s open field. We both thought it would be safer out here since there aren’t any buildings around for a few safe meters.

But as the moon takes precedence in the sky, Aurora struggles to bring her magic powers forward. We’d been at it almost all day, with only faint, frail flickers of lilac light protruding from her palms before fizzling and dying out.
