I hurry out of the bedroom and downstairs. Collapsing on the couch, I take a deep breath.
“Where are you?” Jem asks.
“Heath’s house.”
“Heath? Like… the new guy in town?”
“Yeah.”
“Is he as big of a dick as everyone says?”
My mind drifts to his big dick that I was riding a few minutes earlier. “Um, no,” I squeak.
“Sienna? Are you okay?”
“He asked me to marry him,” I blurt.
A moment of silence greets that statement.
Jem clears her throat. “Wow, okay. So, you’re like, reallygood at sex, huh?”
I groan as I collapse on my side on the couch cushions. “We didn’t have sex.”
“You… didn’t?”
“Listen, I have to go right now, but I’ll call you later,” I promise.
“Okay. Be safe. I’m here if you need anything.”
“I know. Talk soon.”
We hang up, and I hear Heath coming down the stairs.
“You know, I’m not usually a morning person,” he says, leaning over the back of the couch to stare down at me. “But if I woke up like that every day, I think I’d be a changed man.”
“Oh, my god,” I groan, grabbing a throw pillow and dragging it over my face.
He plucks it off and tosses it aside. “Hungry?”
My stomach growls in answer.
He smiles and reaches down to grab me. Hauling me into his arms, he carries me into the kitchen and sets me on the counter.
“What are you hungry for?” he asks, opening the fridge and peering inside.
“Bacon and eggs.”
He grabs a package of bacon and the eggs and sets them next to me on the counter.
“I can cook,” I say, hopping down.
“You don’t have to.”
“I like cooking,” I remind him.
He smirks. “And mornings.”
I sigh. “Yeah, I’m a morning person.”
