I’ve been causing all these problems with the MC, and it’s eating at me. Maybe I should consider leaving and divorcing Viper. It’s what’s best for the MC.
“What’s wrong with you tonight?” Zara asks from beside me.
I shake my head. “Dad’s getting to me… that’s all.”
She puts her hand on my arm. “Try not to let it get to you. I’m sure it’s just threats.”
I need a distraction. On my phone, I go to messages. A slow smile spreads across my face as I type to Viper:

I watch Viper glance down at his phone. His eyes widen, then he abruptly stands. With heat in his eyes, he gives me a sexy grin and struts over, so I stand to greet him. He interlocks his fingers with mine and gives me a hard kiss on the lips. “What wifey wants… wifey gets.”
He pulls me away. After rushing upstairs and into the bedroom, he cradles my face in his hands. “I want you to know you can be a successful businesswoman and also be a wife. You don’t have to choose one or the other.”
My breath catches. I can’t speak, so I nod. Then his lips meet mine, and I lose myself to him for the rest of the night.

BACHELOR PARTY

Run.Business. Gym. Sex. Socializing. Sex.Repeat.
That’s my routine with Viper. Days tick on by, and I can feel the anxiety building up inside me as I wait to see what Dad’s next move will be.
I should just tell him I plan to leave when the month is up, but then I have to explain why, and I don’t want another lecture about how stupid I was to agree to it in the first place. There’s a tug-of-war between staying longer and going back to New York, so I grab my phone and call Piper.
“Hello,” she answers.
“Hello, what have you been up to?”
She sighs. “I’ve been working long days this week. My boss has been really busy, so by the time I get home, I have a quick dinner and then crash and burn. How have you been with the big bad biker?”
I smile at her cheekiness. “Good, I’ve got the wrestler slash stripper coming tonight. Would you believe it: I found a woman who does both. I’m excited for it.”Sogoddamn excited.
Piper lets out a loud laugh. “You’re still going ahead with that?”
“I sure am. The limousine is picking her up and bringing her here.” It’s payback, even though I’ve started to find myself secretly thankful that Viper blackmailed me—not that I’d ever tell him that. I wanted to ease some of the tension in the clubhouse for one night, at least.
“Aww… I’ve missed you. It’s been quiet without you here.”
My heart swells. “I’ve missed you too.”
“Well… call me tomorrow and tell me all about it,” she says.
“I will… Bye.”
I leave the room and go down the stairs. When I reach the bottom, I see Viper. “Can you get everyone together in the living room? I want to make an announcement.”
His brows furrow. “What about?”
“It’s a surprise,” I say through a smile. “Go on,” I say, shooing him away. I watch him swagger outside and sigh—my husband is sexy.
I go to the living room, where Twitch, Elena, Ava, and the sweet butts are watching TV. “It’s time to announce Viper’s surprise,” I say to the women and add two winks at the end. They giggle.
