“You too,” he replies. He’s never been a man of many words.
I walk back over and take a seat next to Viper. I lean into him, lowering my voice. “If you need to talk to Candy to get whatever it is between you sorted… I don’t mind.”
He inches back and his eyes widen. He takes a moment to answer. “Are you sure?”
I hardly know the guy, but I know that while I’m staying, I’m here for a good time. “Yep, go… it’s fine.”
He intently searches my eyes, then nods, but leans in, kisses my forehead, and whispers, “Thanks, wifey.”
My heart beats a little too fast.
“There’s lasagna, salad, and garlic bread,” Ava says.
“I’ll have salad.”
“I can heat the lasagna and garlic bread up for you?” she asks softly.
“No, I’ll just have the salad, but thank you.”
She frowns. “I can cook you something else?”
I smile at her, remembering the way she kept apologizing to people on the dance floor in Vegas, such a darling. “I’m a health nut. If there’s fruit inside, I’ll grab a piece if I get hungry.”
“There’s plenty of fruit inside, in the bowl on the kitchen counter, and there’s some in the fridge.”
I lean over, grab a plate, and start piling salad on it.
“Did Viper go after Candy?” Axle asks.
I stab my fork in the salad. “Yes, he did.”
Axle shakes his head.
“Do you remember everyone, or would you like me to introduce you to everyone?” Knox asks.
I leisurely glance around while chewing. Piper would have a field day. Every one of the men here is sexy in his own way. “I remember Reaper.” Despite being a towering six-five, there’s a softness in his eyes. My eyes dart around the table again. “Obviously, Elena and Ava and Axle. After that my mind is blurry.”
There are chuckles around the table. “You were very drunk,” Zara adds.
I lift my hand, displaying my wedding ring. “So drunk I got married,” I say mockingly. Amusement shows on everyone’s faces.
Bomber points to the guy next to him. “That’s Demon.” I gaze at him, taking in every inch of his ink-covered skin under his shirt and cut. “Twitch.” The guy has thick, wavy hair and a pierced ear. He was sitting at the fire when I came back to get Viper to sign the divorce papers.
My eyes shift to Axle next, who has the same mischievous glint in his eyes that Viper does.
“The next man after Axle is Cash.” He has short black hair and a light beard; he gives me a nod. Knox points to the last man. Well… young man. He was the other one by the fire. “And Rage.” Rage gives me a shy smile, and I don’t miss the slight pink on his cheeks. He’s the only one not sporting a beard—he’s clean-shaven.
“Thank you for having me.”
“You never know… you could end up staying and living here,” Axle mentions offhandedly.
I snort. “Not going to happen.”
Viper takes a seat next to me. “Sorry,” he says through a heavy breath.
“There’s nothing to be sorry for,” Axle pipes up. “We need to speak to the sweet butts. We don’t want a repeat of last time with Vera and Grace.”
I almost choke on a piece of food. “Sweet what?”
