“That so?” Her cheeky smile falters when I flip us over, pinning her hips to the bed and begin plowing into her. Fucking her hard and fast. Linzie’s whole body shakes beneath me. Her breath is coming in pants. Bucking up against me, she comeshard. Her inner walls clench around me. Tucking my arms under hers, holding her shoulders and curling my body over Linzie, I continue to pound restlessly into her wet heat.

“You’re going to come again.” It’s not a question. Linzie’s head shakes back and forth. “Yes, you are. You’re going to do what you’re told, what your body wants, and you’re going to give me one more.” I reach my hand between us, circling her clit with my fingertips. Her body flutters around me one more time. “Fuckingnow,Linzie. Come!”

And come she does. I power into her. Fast. Hard. Over and over, and let myself go, spilling myself inside her. We lay panting, eyes closed, not saying a word, just enjoying the moment.

God, how I love this woman.

Linzie’s hand caresses my cheek. I open my eyes to find her watching me, and the words spill out of me. “I love you, Linzie.” The words scraped past my throat, raw but certain. “I didn’t think I could love anyone again. But you … you came out of nowhere with your spitfire personality and breathed life back into my once barely beating heart. I meant what I said before, Linz. This is real. What we have—it’s special. A second chance at love doesn’t come around for everyone, and I want to grab hold of it with both hands and see where this ride takes us. What do you say? You gonna be my ol’ lady and make this thing between us legit?”

Her eyes are glassy. She’s doing that thing with her mouth women do when they’re trying not to cry.

There’s a loud knock on the door followed by Trevor shouting, “Hey Pres! You might want to come out here. We, uh, have a visitor.”

“Hold that thought,” I whisper to Linzie. “And cover your ears.” She tucks her head under her pillow, giggling.

“The fuck are you doing banging on my door, Prospect? What fucking visitor? There’s two feet of snow outside and no open roads!” I shout back, then tap Linzie on the arm as a signal for her to get up and get dressed.

“Yeah, well, he didn’t exactly drive here, Pres. He landed his chopper in the middle of the horse pasture.”

“Ah, shit.” My head falls back. There’s only one person who would be both bold enough and stupid enough to pull a stunt like that. “Why is he here?” I scramble out of bed and toss on a pair of jeans and a long sleeve thermal shirt.

Linzie comes out of the bathroom in a pair of jeans and one of my hoodies. I smile when I see which one she chose.

“You look good in my colors.”

“What?” She tugs on the shirt, looking down at it confused.

“That’s the club’s logo,” I explain. “It’s what we call our colors on our cuts. It looks good on you. It will look even better when you agree to be my ol’ lady.” She smiles, but still doesn’t say yes.

“Pres?” Trevor calls again. “What do you want me to do about the visitor?”

“Give him a minute. I’m sure he’ll be walking through the clubhouse doors telling you exactly what he wants you to do, the Italian prick.”

“Gabriel!” Linzie chides.

“Come on, Vixen. Let’s go see what ourguestwants.”

Please don’t let him drop off another “gift”. I don’t want to explain why he keeps bringing me warm bodies to Linzie.

CHAPTER 19

LINZIE

Vincenzo Parisi and a woman I now know is Mili, Violet’s best friend, are both sitting on the couch in the main room when we come out of Gabe’s room. Gabe isnotpleased to see this man. I can’t say I blame him. Vincenzo Parisi exudes confidence and danger. Everyone in town knows who he is, but I’ve never actually met the man myself. Even the night we all went to the Pearl, I didn’t see him there.

“Good morning, Gabriel,” Vincenzo greets. “And who is this beautiful creature you have with you?”

I reach out my hand, ready to introduce myself, only to have Gabe grip my wrist and answer for me. “Mine.” One word. Not my name. Not Trevor’s mom.His.

Laughter rumbles out of Vincenzo. “Oh, so that’s how it is then?”

Gabe doesn’t respond with words, but with a curt nod. “Vixen, go sit with the girls while I talk to Vincenzo.”

Vincenzo chuckles, and then, ignoring Gabe, takes my hand. “Forgive my friend.”

“Is that what we are?” At Gabe’s obvious irritation, Vincenzo sends me another smile.

“He doesn’t play well with others. Though I can see why. My name is Vincenzo, Miss …?”
