"OMG! Yes!" She yelled excitedly and threw her arms around me.

I was surprised at her enthusiasm but wrapped my arms around her and soaked in the feel of her against me. Soon she went rigid, probably realizing what she had done.

She quickly pulled back and pushed the curls away from her face. "Sorry about that," she apologized. "I was just so excited we wrote the same thing."

"No need to apologize," I assured her.

Everyone else showed their answers but we were the only ones to write the same word.

"Question two," Olivia said. "What type of food describes your relationship?"

I quickly thought about our relationship. What was a food that was messy? We were like a magical sunset mixed with a train wreck. Was there a food that could encompass that? Time was almost up and so I wrote down something quick.

When Scarlet turned her paper around I groaned that she had written down the perfect food and that I hadn't thought of it–rocky road ice cream.

"Gah, I can't believe I didn't think of that," I said. I turned my paper around and she read it out loud.

"Spaghetti?" she asked, her brows creased.

"I was trying to think of something messy."

She nodded. "Ah, I see."

"Number three," Olivia continued. "In one word, what was your first impression of me? Meaning your partner."

Wow. Okay. Did I really want to put down the one word that popped into my mind the first time I saw her? Would it be too much to admit? Or should I lie and think of something else to say that was still true but a little less vulnerable and possibly awkward? I debated in my mind until the last second possible and finally wrote a word down.

I sat there as the others showed what they had written wondering if I had done the right thing. It was almost our turn, and I was trying to figure out how I could change the word that I had put down.

Too late—it was time for us to show what one word had been our first impression of each other. Looking at her before I flipped the paper over, I noticed that she looked nervous too as she sat there, chewing her lip. I just hoped this wasn’t going to be bad.

We both showed our papers at the same time, and when I read the word on her paper, I was sure my eyes were bugged out.

"Seriously?" I asked, shock rippling through me. "You think I'm gorgeous?"

A light pink dusted her cheeks. "A lot of people do. It's not like I'm the only one," she said, trying to downplay what she had written. "And you think I'm gorgeous too," she added, pointing to my paper where I had written the same word.

I used her same words. "A lot of people do. It's not like I'm the only one."

She laughed and threw her paper at me playfully, helping to remove any awkwardness our admitted thoughts had brought.

Scarlet turned to look at Olivia, a look of triumph on her face. "That's another point."

Olivia pursed her lips but wrote down another point for us. We had been the only partners to get two out of the three answers correct, solidifying our overall win for tonight.

"That makes Rush and Scarlet the big winners of tonight's game night," Olivia announced. "I hope you all had fun, and thanks for coming. Feel free to stay, eat, and hang out."

People started milling about, some gathering their things to head out and others settling in to eat more food.

"Arrogant?" Wilder's voice rang out above the others. "That'sthe first word you thought when you met me?"

"Oh, calm down," Olivia said. "Yes, that is what I thought, but that was a long time ago. I don't think that now."

"Why didn't you think hot, sexy, delicious, any of those words?" he asked.

Olivia stood up and took the pens and used papers with her as she walked toward the kitchen. "I may have thought the word hot the first time I saw you," she admitted over her shoulder with a teasing smile.

"Then why didn't you write that down?" Wilder said, following closely behind her.
