I shouldn’t touch him. Slowly withdrawing, I almost managed to pull away, but his hand suddenly latched around my wrist and pressed my palm to his cheek. Cade groaned, rubbing my hand against his skin as if he reveled in my touch.
Lust licked up my spine at his sounds of pleasure. We would have been like this if they weren’t awful. They’d never be able to experience the passion with another Omega regardless of how much they fooled themselves.
Cade inched closer until his nose pressed against mine. His wide chest invaded my space until my breasts pressed against him.
Fools, all of them. We could have had heaven in each other’s arms, and they choseSusanna.
I’d show him what they’d lost. I’d bring them to their knees. All of them. This would be my revenge. I’d take my pleasure, ruin them for all women, especially their lost Omega, then I’d leave them.
The Ironwyld Alphas would not makemeinto a fool.
His skin was smooth and warm. Comforting. Cade’s long blond eyelashes moved, and his light green eyes studied me.
“What did you take?” His murmured words confused me. “We won’t be able to help you unless you tell us. Was it coke, heroine, fentanyl?” Cade listed. “What?”
I opened and closed my mouth, at a loss as to how to respond. He thought I’d taken drugs?
I mean Repressitol is kind of like one . . .
“I don’t know,” I finally managed to spit out.
Rafe’s chest rumbled against my back. So, he was awake too.
“Why are you in my bed?”Again.
Rafe’s hand spanned my belly.
“Because we want to be,” Cade responded, his teeth flashing with his smile.
“Until you have your Omega.” My toneless voice frightened me. Such loss of hope I’d never realized I’d had.
“Please me, and maybe I’ll keep you,” Cade whispered.
I scowled. “Funny,” I mumbled. I didn’t know if they were joking, but it was clear they weren’t letting me go. As much as they tried to explain away their reactions toward me and brush it away, it was inevitable.
“You’re not going anywhere,” Rafe growled. His hips pushed against me until his hard length ground against the small of my back. Warmth bloomed in my belly and spiked down.
I ignored Rafe’s comment, turning the conversation away from that vein. “Is Susanna your Scent Match? I can’t imagine her being okay with you fondling women at every chance you get.”
“Are you chastising us?” Cade murmured, eyebrow twitching.
“How can Susanna be okay with this?” I spat, hating the smugness taking over Cade’s features.
“She was okay with us fucking Betas.” Cade raised an eyebrow. “And no, she’s not our Scent Match.”
“Obviously, if you’re allowed to fuck anything that moves.” The sharp tone that left my lips surprised me. But it was true. A Scent Matched Omega would never share or entertain the thought.
“Your jealousy’s cute,” Cade smirked. I already knew Susanna wasn’t their Scent Match, but had they never wanted that connection?
“And what? You never wanted to find your Omega?” I blurted, nerves swirling in my stomach.
“And attend those fuck-ass Scent Matching events?” He shuddered. “No thank you. And it’s better this way. Susanna understands us.” That was a dagger to the heart, but I toughed it out.
“Scent Matches aren’t about convenience. You’re right not to seek her out,” I bit out.
Rafe’s arm squeezed me tighter, taking the breath from my lungs with a grunt. “And you haven’t answered our questions.” Rafe moved my hair, exposing my neck.
Slowly, Cade unbuttoned my shirt so Rafe could pull it back and slide it off one arm. Cade ran his thumb over my pebbled nipple. I was helpless to stop this. Their touches. Their attention. It weakened me.
