“Um, yes, but my question is, how did you hear about it?”

“I must have seen an ad somewhere.” Seraphina hedged.

“Ah, huh. The fuck you did. Try again.”

“I can’t remember where I heard about it, but it piqued my interest. Tell me about it.”

“Oh Phina, you have always been a shit liar. I can fill you in, but only if you spill.”

“I might have been invited to go visit with someone.”

“Oh shit! You’re going to let Evan Yang hit it!” Roxanne squealed like a school-aged girl, and she could imagine her doing that crazy dance she did when she was gloating.

“What!? I didn’t say it was him.”

“Oh okay. Like you know, or have recently met someone who has a membership to Club Desire and is willing to drop a quarter of a million dollars to take you to one of the premium BDSM clubs in North America.”

Wait what? That information was a lot to unpack. She’d assumed it was a sex club, but she didn’t realise it was a BDSM club.Christ, no wonder his questions were so… detailed.Maybe she was far too naïve to be agreeing to run off to this club with Evan. If that wasn’t enough to wrap her mind around, Evan was willing to drop a mint to get her to come to this club with him? Yes, she realised that money wasn’t something that was a concern to him, but still. Was she still allowing him to buy her?

Seraphina told Roxanne enough to get her friend to spill what she knew about the club. Instead of scaring her off, it intrigued her. Before they ended the call, Seraphina sent her form off to Evan.

EVAN

Although Evan admonished himself against planning, he began making arrangements for their visit to Club Desire before he received her form. Evan had kept his membership to Club Desire current even though he hadn’t visited since he received his diagnosis. It was well worth the cost, so he could finally have the chance to win Seraphina over.

It had taken nearly two weeks to get their schedules to sync, but they had finally managed. He arranged for a driver to pick her up, and she was en route to the airport. Seraphina had objected, but he had insisted. Taking care of the needs of his partner was ingrained in him. He took pride in seeing to all the needs of his partners. Sexual and otherwise. Providing comfort and care was essential. How else would they be able to trust him enough to submit fully? He completely acknowledged that his actions were not altruistic, but he didn’t claim to be a saint. He was anything but.

Evan sat aboard his private jet, waiting. It had been his intention to fly out earlier in the day, but he couldn’t miss the opportunity to spend some extra time with her. Of course, he could’ve informed her of his change of plans, but he liked the element of surprise. Their time together would begin the moment she stepped aboard.

“Evan, Ms. Lewis is approaching the aircraft.” The voice of his assistant, Kalev, informed him through his earpiece. Despite the many accommodations he had made to compensate for his blindness, he was still adjusting. To compensate for his changing circumstances, he planned to use the technological advances to his advantage. He had done all he could. However, Evan hadn’t played since he lost his sight. It was like being a new Dom all over again. Despite his concerns, he had to rely on the answers she provided on her form and his instincts to make sure he fully met her needs. During the two-hour flight, he planned to review her responses.

“Ms. Lewis has entered the aircraft,” Kalev announced in Evan’s ear. He stood from his seat to welcome her.

“Thank you for your help, Ernest.” Seraphina was always gracious to those around her. It was a trait that he had come to admire.

“My pleasure Ms. Lewis.”

“Evan,” Seraphina gasped. “Oh, I wasn’t expecting you. I thought we were meeting in Chicago.”

“I had a change of plans and thought I’d join you. Why don’t you have a seat? We should take off soon.”

“Thank you…” Her voice drew closer as she spoke. “…for having me picked up and also for taking care of the flight.”

“Of course, my pleasure.”

“Would you like me to sit beside you, or across from you?” Her thoughtfulness didn’t go without notice.

“Beside me, please.” It was a good start to have her by his side during the flight. He sat and buckled his seat belt and the rustling as she took her seat echoed his movement.

“Ernest and I are at the rear of the plane, seated, and buckled in,” Kalev informed.

“Thank you, Kalev.” He didn’t need to explain his communication to Seraphina. She’d helped implement this process.

“It’s a beautiful aircraft. I wasn’t expecting it to be this big.” Her words were a little rushed.

The two flight attendants introduced themselves to Seraphina, and the Captains made their introductions. They were his staff, so of course he knew who they were. Besides, he was preoccupied with the scent of her. Today the cotton candy smell was more pronounced and made his mouth water. He wondered if she would taste as sweet as she smelled. He bit back a groan at how close he was to finding out.
