“You do.” He seemed to like that fact.
“How about tomorrow night? My place. Emily is due for a sleepover at Sherry’s.”
“I’m on duty tomorrow. How about Saturday night?”
“Perfect.”
Reggie treated her to a wide smile. “Sounds great. Although…” He cleared his throat. “We haven’t talked about sex.”
“Sure we have.” Maggie brightened. “Remember when you told the girls all about tadpoles at dinner?”
He laughed. “You’re a pain in the ass.”
“But a cute one.”
“You so are.” He kissed her. “You and I are planners. And with the way things happen between us, eventually there will be sex.”
“A lot of sex.”Eventually? If I had my way, in the next five seconds from now.
“A lot.” His eyes narrowed. “I’ve got stamina. Just warning you.”
“So do I.” Maggie licked her lips.
He groaned. “Stop it. I’m trying to cover an important topic.”
“Safe sex. Yes. I do have a few condoms in the house. Somewhere.” She frowned. “Maybe. It’s been a while. I always use protection. I’m also on birth control.”
“Good. I always use protection too. I’m safe and healthy.”
“Me too.”
“Great.”
“Good.”
They paused. Maggie admitted, “I really, really want to have sex with you.”
“So do I,” Reggie said, his voice hoarse. “I want to be inside you right now.”
He was doing it again. Making her think sexy thoughts.
“But we should probably slow down.” He cleared his throat. “And practice safe sex.”
“Right. When it happens, we’ll be safe.”
“But it’s good to know if wedidhave sex, without a condom, we’d be covered.”
“Not literally covered, but protected from baby-making. Yes,” she said.
Reggie covered his eyes. “You’re making it so hard to have this conversation. And before you smirk and say, ‘How hard?’—this hard.” He took her hand and put it over the firm bulge in his jeans. “Now I think we should take you home before I come in my pants again.”
“So we’ll talk about blow jobs and oral sex later in our relationship?”
“Fuck.Go get in the car.”
Maggie obeyed before she did something really stupid and pulled down his pants for round two.
