“Me too. And I’m afraid to move and stain your pretty couch. You made a huge mess, Grant Weston.”
“I did.” He gave her a wicked smile. “Piper, I just wanted you to know... ”
“Yes?” She kissed him again.
Don’t say it, some part of his brain warned him. Don’t do it.
“Grant?”
“That I... ”
The guarded expression on her face warned him to stop right there, right now.
“I’m hungry, even though we just ate a bunch of junk food at the coffee shop.” He forced a sigh. “I eat a lot. My metabolism is always revving.”
“You’re hungry now?”
No, but I’m a dumbass who nearly blurted how much I love you. “I’m just giving you a warning that I’m going to want to eat soon. But you get to pick what we have.”
“Do we have to go out?”
“Hell, no. I’m keeping you naked until we leave tomorrow. And if I have my say, I’ll be balls-deep inside you until then too.”

Figuring he should at least clean himself up and look presentable, he tidied up and returned dressed in loose Mariners sweats.
He found Piper also dressed, wearing jeans and a light blue sweatshirt. “Hey, light blue.” He smiled. “Like my eyes.”
“Yeah, yeah. I packed this because it was clean.”
“No, I’m going with the fact it matches my eyes. You know you love me.” He pushed, but he had to start getting her to think forever. Even in teasing.
“What can I say? You’re that loveable West Wind guy.”
“But I’m a one-woman man,” he told her. “My love only blows one way.”
They both paused.
“You meant because of the wind reference, right?”
“Yeah, but it sounded creepy when I said it. Oh well.”
She chuckled. “What do you do for fun around here? Besides blow things, I mean.”
He had to laugh. Piper always gave as good as she got.
“I play video games with friends and Cade sometimes. I watch movies, read books. But mostly, I draw.”
“Can I see some more of your pictures?”
“You don’t have to pretend—”
