“Yep. Rude and crude, yet he’s not locked up,” Jesse muttered. “If he didn’t cook so well, he’d be ass out like you can’t believe.”
Kellen chuckled, now a part of something bigger. In love with his pack and not afraid to tell everyone. “I love you guys.”
Logan beamed and slammed him into the wall with a kiss which earned a bunch of hoots and growls. “I love you, Kellen.”
“And I love you, Kellen,” Kate said with shining eyes.
He kissed her and had to pull himself back from taking things a step further.
Then they all looked at Jesse, who looked everywhere but at Kellen until Kate poked him in the chest.
“What did we say about holding back?” She stared him down.
Jesse dragged Kellen close and kissed him deeply, leaving Kellen breathless before muttering, “I love you too.” In a louder voice, he said, “Now let’s move. Eric’s expecting us.”
Kellen watched him storm off with Logan and trailed next to Kate. “He mean that?”
“Yes.” She smiled. “Jesse’s got a hard head but a soft heart. You’re one of us, Kellen. Always.”
“Always.” He took her hand in his and walked with her to Eric.
“About time,” Prime said as he looked them over. To Dom, standing behind him, he said, “And you were right. The pack is now complete. Now, Kellen, I need you to tell us everything you noticed last night, including about that gun you gave to Dom. And I’d like you to make up a new counter op squad.”
Kellen grinned. “Sounds good.”
Eric nodded. “Jesse, I’m giving you today to recuperate. Then I want you back on patrol. Talk to Malcolm. We’re moving the city shifts closer to home and encouraging all our people to move to the territory.”
“Sounds good, Prime.” Jesse nodded.
Dom cut in to say, “Logan, you did good work with Malcolm. Make sure you finish up with him before you start with Kate full-time on the house.”
“Will do. Territory has a few more weak spots we need to plug. But Malcolm’s working on it, and I’ll help when I have time. The house should be finished soon. Good thing we made it big enough for four.” He grinned at Kellen, who flushed.
“Right.” Dom smiled. “And Kate. We need you to—”
“Keep making money. I know.” She sighed. “I’m the brains of the outfit. I don’t need you men telling me what to do.” She saw Vicki and waved.
Vicki shook her head at her mates. “Always with the talking. Come on, Kate. I need some computer help.”
Kate kissed her mates goodbye and said to Eric, “Can you we make a formal pack announcement tonight? We want everyone to know Kellen’s ours.”
Eric smiled. “Sounds good. Now go make us money.”
Vicki tugged Kate away.
When they’d gone, Eric turned to Kellen with a stern warning, his eyes glowing. “You treat her right or I’ll end you.”
The violence should have scared him, but Kellen loved that their prime wanted to protect Kate—Kellen’s mate. He nodded.
Eric added, “That goes for these idiots too. They were mine before they became yours.”
Kellen swallowed. “Right.”
Then Eric shocked him by dragging him forward for a hug. “And now you’re mine. So behave that fine ass or I won’t be the one threatening you. Kate will. And at the rate our clan is going, I wouldn’t be surprised if she goes into heat real soon. Then you’ll have a pregnant female to deal with.”
Logan and Jesse chuckled behind him.
Kellen couldn’t imagine a better future, one filled with mates and children, in a family that would always be there for him. “Sounds perfect, Prime.” He glanced at his mates. “Nowhere I’d rather be.”
