Then he felt hands on him, pulling him away. Before he thought to protest, he scented Logan and Jesse and relaxed.

Tender hands cleaned him all over, and gentle kisses rained over him as several people laid him down on the fuzzy rug and joined him, hands and arms covering him, with Kate’s scent over everything.

When Kellen blinkedhis eyes open, he saw Jesse and Logan on either side of him, with Kate sitting at his feet.

“Kate?” He turned. “Guys?”

Kate looked at Jesse, who sighed and said, “Fine. But I’m still in charge.”

“You’re so cute that you think you are.” She winked.

Logan chuckled. “Kellen, we have something to tell you.”

“What?” Oh no, what had he told Kate last night? How much did she know? It all felt like a dream, and couldn’t figure out if last night had been real.

“We’re keeping you.”

He just stared at Logan. “What?”

“I’m claiming you,” Kate clarified. “We all want you to be pack.”

“But…” Maybe he hadn’t told them about being weak, about being less than a Ravager, less than a man.

Jesse looked grim. “Kate told us about your bullshit. And it is bullshit.”

Logan nodded. “I love submitting to Jesse and Kate. I’m not weak for it.”

Kellen flushed. “But I—”

“No.” Kate glared at him. “I know exactly who filled your head with that nonsense. Will and Nev were assholes. They didn’t know how to give.”

Jesse put a hand on Kellen’s arm. “Kate, in his defense, he might have also heard it where he grew up. Berserkers follow a different set of rules in other clans.”

Kellen nodded. “To dominate is all. We’re born knowing it. Taught it as we age. And Nev made it more than clear that what I wanted made me less than worthless. An embarrassment.” Yet this pack didn’t treat him any differently after hearing the truth. He looked to Logan, who watched him with affection. “You don’t care?”

“Frankly, I’m a little disappointed I haven’t fucked you yet.” Logan winked. “Kate and Jesse got all the pleasure. I’m waiting on my turn.”

Kellen felt himself stir. “And Jesse?” He was afraid to look at the gruff Ravager. “I’m bigger than you. I should be able to take you on. But I’m not good at any of that when it comes to sex.”

Jesse shrugged. “Dom, one of the most powerful Ravagers in the clan, regularly takes it up the ass when Prime’s in the mood. Who cares? It’s about what’s right for you. We all like to take charge and submit. It’s not that big a deal.”

“It was with Nev.” Kellen swallowed, aware they watched him. “They hurt me to show me the difference. And they made me watch when they… They killed and got off on it. Blood and violence and sex.” He’d hated it.

Jesse shocked him by leaning down to kiss him on the mouth. “They were wrong in here.” He placed his hand on Kellen’s chest. “Real men, real Ravagers, don’t hurt the weak. We protect. We cherish differences, Kellen. Hell, have you seen Rule? He’s scruffy and obnoxious. Cooks like a wet dream though. Do you see Eric beating him? Dom hauling his ass to the punishment cells?”

“Wait. You have those?” Kellen asked.

“The point” —Jesse scowled— “is that he’s just one example. Everyone in this pack has to work together, and we accept that we’re family. A unit of Ravagers with sexual needs way beyond what makes most non-Ravagers comfortable. We have to be ourselves, Kellen. No lies or you harm yourguer. No untruths between packmates.” He looked into Kellen’s eyes, his warm and accepting. “Do you want me up your ass? In your business? Telling you what to do?” His eyes sparkled.

“Well, yes and no.”

Logan snickered. “How about me? You mind if I blow you when I’m not fucking you? Or telling you how to do Kate so she’ll orgasm the hardest?”

Kate grinned. “Or doing what I tell all three of you to do because I’m the boss?”

“Aw, baby. Don’t ruin it,” Jesse whined.

Kellen grinned, so happy he had a tough time realizing he wasn’t imagining such a perfect future. “I was really stupid about thinking I wasn’t good enough because I like to submit. Wasn’t I?”
