“But that’s because we’re the best looking Ravagers in the clan,” Logan protested half-heartedly. He winked at Jesse. “Just do him already. He needs us, Jesse.”

“I’m not a social worker.”

Kate batted her lashes at him. “Pretty please? Bring him home tomorrow and see what happens. I want to watch.”

“Oh, I want to watch too.” Logan licked his lips. “Maybe take a taste myself.”

Jesse loved their playfulness, how his pack could be open and honest with one another. Even if that did involve a certain dickhead berserker.

“Fine. We’ll see if he’s interested. If he is,I’lltake charge. But this is just to help him.”

Logan shook his head. “And to helpus. We need to shake things up in our little pack, and you know it. If we can’t play with one of our clan, we’ll never get another to join our pack. This way, we help Kellen, he helps us get used to a fourth in our bed, and we’re all better for it.”

“Right.” Kate rubbed her hands together. “So do we want to do this here or somewhere we have more privacy? Call me crazy, but I get the sense Kellen is a little skittish. Might want to ease him into the idea away from everyone else.”

“Sounds like you’re going to lead him by the nose.” Jesse snorted.

“By the dick you mean,” Logan corrected with a naughty grin. “This is Kate we’re talking about.”

She pounced on Logan. “You’ll pay, mate.”

And pay he did, but with Jesse included, they all found satisfaction. And if it was a little more spiced with fantasies of what they planned on doing to Kellen, so much the better.

Kellen didn’t knowwhat to expect from the Ravagers he’d been working with lately. They’d done a hell of a lot of work on the pack house.

Jesse had been unusually quiet all day, but Logan had chattered as if nothing were wrong, so Kellen had taken the lead from him.

The flooring had gone in without a problem. Now hardwoods existed on both the lower and upper levels with a few area rugs in the bedrooms to soften the space. And in the main bedroom, Jesse insisted Kellen help to carry in a huge-ass mattress.

“Pack’s gotta have a nice place to sleep at night.” Logan winked and walked back down the stairs, leaving Kellen staring at the bed and fantasizing about what Logan, Jesse, and Kate might get up to between the sheets.

Jesse passed by him, and Kellen took a whiff of sensual male, a Ravager on the prowl. Likely, Jesse was also imagining what he and his pack would soon be up to.

Hell, it hurt to walk around the guy. Kellen was constantly aroused, either catching Kate’s scent on her mates, or just absorbing the essence of the guys themselves. It wasn’t just a mating scent though. It was Jesse himself. He gave off powerful pheromones in addition to a hard-ass attitude that screamed dominant caregiver.

Though Kellen wouldn’t call Jesse the Ravagerin chargeof their pack, because clearly their female ruled their family group, Jesse often seemed to be looking after the others. To include Kellen at times. Jesse would bark at Kellen to do one thing or another, then make sure he had enough to eat or to rest, as if Kellen couldn’t figure out what he needed himself.

The sensation of being looked after both baffled and pleased him, and he hated that he wanted that sense of acceptance. He’d been on his own for a long time, and he didn’t need anyone. The minute he let down his guard, they’d realize how soft he was and try to fix him. Been there, done that. And he had the scars to prove it.

He flinched, remembering how brutal his time under Nev’s leadership had been. What he’d been forced to do to cope. The recollection made him ill, and he promised to never put himself in that position again.

“Yo, you coming to eat?”

He jerked his head up and saw Jesse watching him, his eyes narrowed.

“Huh?”

“Food. Kate’s bringing us dinner. We’re eating here tonight.”

“Oh. I’ll let you go.”

“No, dumbass. I said we’re eating here.We.All of us.”

Kellen scowled. “What did you call me?”

“You heard me.” Jesse’s dark eyes flashed, the guy always ready to scrap. And he seemed to have an issue with Kellen. “I told you to get downstairs.”
