She laughed. “I’ll remember that.” Then she groaned when he slid his hands between her thighs, widening her stance, and rose behind her.
“You’re so wet,” he breathed, trembling with the need to fuck her. But the sight of her, waiting, all his for the taking, forced him to savor this time.
He pushed himself inside her so slowly, moaning as her heat enveloped him. From behind, he felt even bigger, stretching her as he thrust.
“Oh yes, yes,” she hissed as he reached around and fingered her.
She jerked, and he slid deeper.
“Fuck.” He pulled back and slowly pushed back inside.
“More,” she insisted.
But he wouldn’t be rushed. He tortured them both, giving her the whole of him but at such a slow pace she started flexing her hips to rush him.
And then he pressed harder over her taut flesh, and she cried out.
More warmth surrounded him, a flood of pleasure knowing she’d come, and he started fucking her harder. With wilder strokes, until he couldn’t hold back any longer.
He surged one final time and stiffened, jetting into her and feeling finally at home.
When he finished, he lay over her, kissing her skin wherever he could reach without pulling out.
“Axel.” She sighed. “You’re so good at this.”
“So are you,” he said, and she murmured something he couldn’t make out.
As he started to soften, he withdrew. “I’ll be right back.” He tossed the condom in the bathroom trash and hurried to straighten his clothes. Then he came back with a warm washcloth and wiped her between her legs.
“Axel, I can do that.” She turned around, looking embarrassed.
“It’s my pleasure to do this. I want to take care of you. The way you take care of me,” he said when she looked as if she’d argue.
“You think I take care of you?”
He finished cleaning her and watched as she stepped back into her panties and pulled down her skirt.
“You make me a better man. Around you I’m calmer. I feel good. Your smile makes everything bright.”
She just watched him. “That’s so romantic.”
“No, I don’t know romance. I just know the truth. And you are the most wonderful woman I have ever known.” He paused. “Well, not counting mymutter.”
She smiled. “I knew what you meant. You’re so sweet.”
“Not sweet. Honest.”
“Well, Honest Axel, something we need to get straight.”
“Yes?”
“No more hurrying away from an argument. We should talk it out.”
He nodded to make her happy. But he knew he’d leave her the next time they argued and wouldn’t feel bad about it. Better he take some time to cool down than say—ordo—something he’d regret.

The next evening, Axel took Rena out to a movie. He’d argued against her choice but eventually gave in to a romantic comedy he’d secretly been wanting to see.
