Arghet grunted with amusement and frustration, finding it difficult to walk.
Raia opened her arms, her nipples flush, her marker an irritated black and red, the same colors as his chest.
“Will you fuck me? Or will you keep me waiting?” Her cruel smile incited a furious passion. “Or perhaps you are more inclined to watch?”
He moved with deliberation, stalking his prey. “You still owe me for stealing my kill.”
“Do I?” She drew a finger down her body, from her breasts to her sex. She parted her folds with one slender finger, then shoved it inside her.
Arghet heard Skehl’s breathing deepen, felt his pulse-rate spike. But when Raia arched her back and moaned, thrusting her pelvis into the sky, he couldn’t wait any longer.
He mounted her on the slab and stared into her eyes as he shoved home. No gentle taking, no gradual entry. He hammered her stroke by stroke, the violence of his taking met by her aggressive kiss, by the hand she fisted in his hair as she kept him in place whilesheravagedhim.
He powered into her, so large and tied to her he felt as one, especially when she clamped down on him, her body refusing to let him withdraw.
And then he was coming, blinded by a pure light. Phelthar overwhelmed him, Raia, Skehl, and the jungle around them. His orgasm stole his breath and his senses, nothing but the bliss flowing from his body into hers, from hers into his, all under Skehl’s watchful gaze. They were his entire world.
He’d given her his first seed, followed by his second. And as he continued to come, he felt Skehl’s lips on his back, his shoulders. Hands stroking, fingering his anus, reaching between his legs to graze his balls.
He groaned and surged deeper, giving her everything inside him.
“Yes, mine,” she growled and nipped his throat.
Arghet and she remained locked, one body, one soul, but not complete, because Skehl was missing from their physical union.
When Arghet relaxed enough to withdraw from her body, he moved like an old man.
“Mother Moons. Shit.” He stared down in awe at his still hard cock, saw Skehl fisting his as well, and glanced back at Raia, who smiled, her eyes like faceted gems.
“I think this union is blessed.”
A look around showed life in abundance. The vegetation had turned their meeting place into a covered hideaway, the vines and trees growing over and around the altar of rock like a constructed place of worship. And Maker knew, he’d been worshipping Raia just fine.
Then Skehl took a step forward, and Arghet drew him close for a hug, followed by a kiss and some fondling.
With me, warriors.
Arghet let his assassin have her way. For now. Because they needed to share their energy, to release the buildup that shouldn’t have been present considering the climaxes they’d already had. Something was happening, but hell if he cared right now. He couldn’t do more than kiss and touch Skehl, then make his way toward their mate, where they continued to pet and play.
Through the evening and into early morning, when they finally dropped into exhausted slumber, protected by the trees, the flowers…and the conglomeration of predators now around them.

The next morning, Raia stared in consternation at a pair of flahvlae, large, snakelike beasts that had retractable legs and three venomous sets of fangs. They normally lived below ground in tunnels, but for some reason a set of them guarded the eastern side of the their meeting place. On the western side, carrion crawlers, man-sized insectoids with razor sharp incisors sat watching. And just in front of her, three black and green striped caerrn cats, six-limbed felines who liked nothing better than barbarian for dinner, sat in watch, their tails swishing, eyes flickering in bursts of gold and red.
She had the impression they were laughing at her, but she had no idea why.
Or why nature had suddenly gone mad.
She sat up and groaned, pleasantly sore all over. None of the beasts moved, and she realized they were no threat. So very strange. Skehl moaned in his sleep, and she smiled, looking down at her beautiful new mate.
Her men had ridden her through the night like animals, and she grinned, not at all disappointed.Ussed, we appreciate your blessing, she sent to the sentient planet few could actually commune with. Not that Raia understood it, but she had always sensed the energy of the planet react to her in some way.
But never like this.
The grassy area filled with red-stems that she’d first come across now looked like a man-made fortress of bark, vine, and flower. The rock on which they’d paired—made love and fucked, she thought absently—now shone like white marble with red and black streaks of burnt onyx and bloodstone.
She felt the magic of it, and though she’d never in her life sensed the like, knew the power within her and her mates to be real. Odd that such a beautiful place should be a home for those skilled in death and destruction, but who was she to question the will of Ussed?
