“Never knew you were into this kind of stuff, Becks. What’s next, gonna take me to a dungeon?”
“Not into that scene anymore.”
His head snaps up, eyes wide. “Wait, you . . .”
I nod. “Lived it for a bit after my injury, experimented before then. But in the end, while I learned a lot, I’d rather just have someone at home to play with. And not all the time.”
He chews on his bottom lip, then takes a deep breath. “Was Noah into this stuff?”
I’ve been waiting for him to bring my ex up again. Am kind of surprised it’s taken this long, knowing his obsessive personality, though I’ve also been worried about what he might be doing on his own.
“Yes, it’s how we met.” I sit and pat the space beside me, and when he settles in, I continue. “Noah’s a sub, like a full-time sub. I hated my life after tearing my back muscle and not being able to return to the NHL, hated my boring-ass job, so it was all exciting at first.”
Viktor remains quiet, which is odd, but his shoulders are relaxed, his focus on me. No sign of distress, more like he’s interested.
“Eventually, I figured out it wasn’t for me. Noah didn’t take it well. He tried to manipulate me to change my mind. When we broke up, he lost his shit. I should’ve done it somewhere public instead of at my house. That’s when he hurt Mouse. You know the rest.”
His lips press into a thin, hard line. “That dumb fuck will pay for what he did to my little princess.”
My jaw drops and then I laugh. I know I shouldn’t but I can’t help it. “So, Mouse is yours now?”
“Fuck yeah, I didn’t just . . .”
My eyes narrow when he stops. “You didn’t just do what, Viktor?”
He huffs. “Don’t make a big deal and freak out okay?”
My body goes perfectly still, and I breathe slowly and deliberately, trying to remain calm because internally I feel like a tornado siren just sounded. “What did you do?”
He smirks, scratching his head. “I kinda bought the building.”
“Which building?”
“This one.”
His response is like a blast of air launching me across the room. I’m dumbfounded, at a loss for words except for one. “Why?”
“Uh, because you snuck a cat into a no pets allowed building, dumbass. And my princess deserves to be safe.” He crosses his arms in front of his chest. “Thought you of all people would’ve done a better job protecting her.”
Fucking hell.
“And now that I’m your new landlord I never want to hear any shit about power dynamics. Yeah, you only mentioned it once, but guess what. I own the place you live. Therefore, I hold way more cards than you do, Coach Boyfriend.”
As hard as I fight it, I’m smiling so wide my cheeks hurt. This chaotic demon purchased a building to protect my cat. “Please don’t call me Coach Boyfriend again.”
The evil smirk that appears as he straddles my lap has me worried. “Then maybe we should stop talking and we can get to using some of these toys.”
My lips press against his, my tongue invading his mouth, wrestling for dominance. “Tell me exactly what you want, Chaos.”
“Fuck me so hard I can still feel you tomorrow.”
Lifting his shirt over his head, I throw it onto the floor, then deepen the kiss as I flick and pinch his nipples. I kiss my way down his chest and bite the hard buds, rolling my tongue over each one as I clasp them between my teeth.
Viktor whines, grabbing at my hair, hips rutting against me.
After a few seconds, I pull away and reach across the mattress to grab the first toy, holding the clips attached to a chain up. “Yes or no?”
“Fuck yes. Yes, now. Put the clamps on me now. Becks, please.”
