When she removed her hand and rested her wrist on my shoulder, I used the space to flick the button on my pants loose and rip the zipper down.

The heat of our bodies hit my needy flesh before the swirl of fresh air. I was straining to rip her underwear off and plunge into her, but despite what we’d just talked about, I had to give her what she wanted. And she wanted us on the same page.

I broke our kiss. “I don’t have a condom.” The box hadn’t been touched since she’d left. Like her, I could barely reach a finish when I stroked myself off.

Her eyelids fluttered open. There it was. The dreamy look in her eyes. The flushed cheeks. Her kiss-swollenlips. This was the look I would dedicate my life to putting on her face.

Her hips rolled, like she couldn’t help it, and her underwear scraped against my cock. I hissed in a breath.

She glanced down between us. The fabric of her dress had fallen to cover us. “I want this,” she said. “But I’m afraid you’ll think it was too soon. I’m afraid you’ll second-guess?—”

I gripped her hips and placed the head of my erection at her entrance. “I’m not second-guessing a thing. You’re it for me, and I want to make your dreams come true.”

“Get inside me, Jonah.”

I shoved in. She cried out, rocking and adjusting to my size and burying her face in my neck.

A long moan left me. How had I ever thought I didn’t want a future with her and any kids we might have? How had I ever locked myself inside my shop when I had her in the house?

I drew back and pushed back in.

“Oh, god, Jonah. No toy can compare to you.”

“No, they fucking can’t.” My lips were back on hers and I was devouring her as her greedy body gripped and hugged mine.

Lust was clouding all my thoughts. I’d never had sex without protection. Never. I honestly hadn’t thought it’d happen.

Ecstasy. She was warm and wet. I could feel every ripple and flex of her pussy in sharp detail. Sensation was clearer and stronger. I was a man in love. I was a man obsessed with his woman.

I kissed my way to her ear. “I fucking love you.”

“Come inside me.”

I couldn’t get one more thrust in after that. I came long and hard, slamming a hand against the barn wall. She kept her legs anchored around me, but I had her crushed between me and the building.

When awareness returned from beyond the absolute fucking bliss of being back inside the love of my life, I realized I had missed a critical moment. “Goddamn it.”

She turned her face into mine. “What’s wrong?” she murmured.

“I didn’t make sure you came a second time.”

Her chuckle vibrated right through me and coaxed my mouth into a smile. I should’ve seen to her pleasure first instead of being taken over by her.

She nibbled along my neck. “How sure are you that your parents won’t come looking for us?”

CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

Summer

The grin on Jonah’s face could almost make me jealous. He was leaning back against the straining fishing rod. We were on Tate’s pontoon. This was the first official time Jonah had gotten out on the water since his accident. I should’ve left today for the guys, but I couldn’t resist seeing Jonah enjoying an activity he used to obsess about.

Autumn and Teller had also joined us. Scarlett was home with the younger kids, while Chance and Tate played tour guides.

We’d dug out a lot of his equipment from the storage room in the garage. Even the tents. I’d even joked about setting one up in the backyard once the construction on the addition started.

Only a month had gone by since we’d reconnected against the back of the barn. I wasn’t pregnant yet, but that was fine. I was enjoying my time with Jonah, planning a laid-back wedding at Mama’s house, and finishing my move into his cabin—our cabin. Teller and Tenor had given me the office in Copper Summit that I had used when I was supposed to be on my honeymoon. We’d had a talk about hiring another manager for the Bozeman site. I didn’t want to have to commute as much as was required, especially during the winter and when we expanded our family.

A small bark sounded from my feet. I picked up our black Lab puppy. He wasn’t a service animal, but we were training him to know Jonah and when he might need help. That way, when Jonah and Teller camped outside in someplace that wasn’t our backyard, they’d have Stormy for protection. Jonah didn’t push me to get over my aversion to camping, and I was grateful he and Teller were discovering all the things Jonah could do. His first choice for an outdoorsy trip was the valley his house overlooked. The land Daddy had gifted me. Our land.
