I was going to strangle her. Couldn’t a girl live with four guys she was sexually attracted to without having an orgy? As soon as I thought the words, I laughed out loud.
Lila looked at me with curious eyes. “Thinking of the orgy, aren’t you? Just man bits swinging all around your face. You are a lucky woman. I hate you.”
I snorted and shook my head. I was thankful to have Lila in my life to ease my fears, but the nagging frustration of my predicament wouldn’t go away. I didn’t really want to just try the guys out, if I was being honest with myself. I wanted them for my alphas. I wanted them to be good. Needed them to be. If they were behind this, I would never have an alpha. In a way, they were the last chance before I made my decision to go it alone. And if they weren’t behind this, then I would just have to work on not getting snatched up by a demon before I made my final decision.

“So, this is your room again. Hopefully permanently,” Ty said, opening the door to my new bedroom.
It was the same as the last time he showed me. The space was massive. It was almost as big as my apartment. I twirled around, still amazed by it. “This space is insane. It looks like it’s out of a showroom.”
“It was Kai’s room, but he gave it up for you. Figure with a house full of guys, you need your own big space to hide out.”
That was very generous, and it made perfect sense. I had no intention of putting my stamp on anything in the house. It was well decorated, and it was theirs. “I’ll have to thank Kai. I recall you decorated the room? You have great taste.”
He looked at his feet shyly. He was very different from when things got spicy between us. “It’s nothing. I’m glad you like it. I was worried. But you can do whatever you want to the place. I won’t be upset if you change it.”
A shy vampire still tripped me up. He really was a sweetheart. “I’m good with it.”
I heard a knock at my door and turned to see Kai standing there, leaning against the door frame. His black hair was down, and he wasn’t in his fully human disguise since his horns were showing, along with the red lines, tattoo-like, all over his body. His otherworldly red eyes squinted playfully at me. His tail switched from side to side, signaling his happiness at seeing me. It had been a week since I’d seen him, and my heart did a little flip. I actually missed him, and the anger I felt weeks ago at him taking his spying too lightly had since waned off.
“Hey kitty cat, long time no see. I’ve been distraught without you.” He opened his arms. “Give daddy a hug.”
Ty raised his eyebrows and shook his head. I wanted to be equally annoyed, but I missed the damn incubus, so I let it slide and walked to him for a tight embrace.
He kissed the crook of my neck, wrapping his tail up and down my calf. A shiver ran over me at the contact. His tail was a very naughty appendage, and I kind of liked it.
He slowly pulled away, looking me over as if checking for injuries. “Heard about the attack. I’m glad you decided to live here. I’ve been concerned. Sure you’re okay?”
I wanted to rest my head back on his chest in a hug, but I resisted because I was a big girl. “I’m here only on a trial. I’m fine. Lance took care of me.”
“I’ll bet he did.” He put his hand in the back pocket of my jeans, shifting me closer to him, his tail still wrapped around my leg. I slapped his chest playfully, but he didn’t move his hand. I didn’t really mind.
I should have been embarrassed that they all knew that I had been with each of them in some way. Maybe even ashamed. But I wasn’t. Yes, I was an omega, but it felt weird to me to fall on that excuse. I wasn’t ashamed because, well, I enjoyed them. I liked it all too much.
Ty sat down at the foot of my bed, eyeing us with a worried look. “I hate that you got hurt. Lance has been beating himself up about it.”
I frowned. I thought I had soothed Lance’s worry, but I should have known no words or kisses could make it all better. Lance had his own battles to fight that I was still learning. “I did tell him that he did a great job defending me.”
“It won’t make a difference. I know exactly what he’s going through. Only you didn’t die.”
I nodded, trying to understand. It would take time, just as everything else would. I looked around the space again and then at my suitcases. I had a lot of unpacking and settling in to do.
Ty caught my overwhelmed look. “Need any help?”
“That’s sweet of you, but I won’t ask you to do that.” I looked over to Kai who looked at me with raised brows.
A silence fell, and then he looked down at me with questioning eyes. “Oh, was I supposed to offer? Did you really want me unpacking your underwear? I might keep a couple.”
I slapped his chest again. “You’re disgusting, and there are many other things you could unpack. Anyway, I know how you could be helpful. Do you have any word from the demon world on who could be behind my attacks?”
He let out a breath before removing his hand from my back pocket and running his palm up my back. I leaned into his hand, taking comfort in the gesture. “Yeah, I just came back from the underworld, and I finally made some headway. I came up here to pull you all together. The others are downstairs in the living room.”
I turned away from him, shaking my head. “You didn’t want to lead with that?”
Daniel and Lance suddenly materialized in front of me. I jumped back, bumping into Kai. “You guys can teleport?”
Daniel cocked his head with a slight smile on his full lips. “Sorry, princess. Kai and I can. We got tired of waiting, so I teleported us up here.”
