“Nice to meet you, Claudette, Kitty. Allow me to walk you home to ensure that you two are safe after what has happened,” Kon says, holding my hand, running his fingers over my wrist.
The man is lethal because he’s causing my body to go crazy with his touch, and I’m in fucking shock from the events.
“Yeah, that would be nice,” I say, nodding.
“Angel, let me hold you. You look ready to lose it,” Kon says, pulling me closer to him.
I walk into his arms for the second time that night. I can’t fucking believe how safe I feel in his arms.
We start to walk, Kon holds me close, and I hold onto Kitty’s hand as we walk down the streets.

We arrive in front of an older Victorian house converted into apartments. The front porch light is on, and the entire house looks dark.
“Thanks, I need to get inside,” Kitty says, waving, walking up the steps to the front door.
“No worries, it was my pleasure,” I say, nodding.
I turn to look at the sweet girl, Claudette is standing in front of me, and I’m still holding onto her arm, gazing into her green eyes. She’s pushing all of my buttons.
Fuck!
I feel a fucking connection, and it’s deep. This is fucking surreal.
“Thank you, Kon; we appreciate you taking the time to walk us home. I’ve never been so scared,” Claudette says, looking up at me, her eyes shiny with unshed tears. She tucks her hair behind her ears, smoothing the locks. Her lower lip trembles as she weakly attempts to smile.
Claudette looks shaken and pale; she blinks her eyes as she anxiously looks around the street. I can feel her slight tremor as she holds onto my arms digging her nails into my black leather jacket.
I inhale, her scent hits my essence, knocking me off my axis driving me crazy. My nostrils flare, and my incisors start to extend, but I need to fight his wild need. I hold her closer, looking at her, feeling the electrical shock that’s setting me on fire.
I need to fight this; it’s not the right moment. Claudette is in shock, scared, and I don’t need to scare her any more than she is.
I stare at the blue aura, the ethereal light that glows around her; my soul connects with hers.
I can fucking feel it.
Fucking hell!
I can’t fucking believe this; she’s my soulmate.
Fuck!
I found my soulmate, a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence.
Claudette turns to look at me as I pull her closer, leaning closer to smell her delicious scent, her blood.
“What’s wrong,” Claudette asks, taking a step back, raising her eyebrows, placing her hands on her hips.
“I was waiting for you to feel better,” I say, turning up my lips in a small smile.
I fucking pray that I’m not scaring her, shit.
“Uh, I’m okay, but I need to go to the hospital to see Lori. I can’t believe what just happened. I need to write a story; it will help me at my new job,” Claudette says, nodding.
“What do you mean, a story,” I ask, raising my eyebrow.
