“I will,” Dionisie says, nodding, looking out of the window.
“I need to go since it’s early in the City Of Souls, and I have an appointment with one of the managers,” I say, lifting my chin.
“Later,” Dionisie says, walking down the hall.
“Don’t forget to meet up at the portal at the Golden hour,” Vlad yells, glaring at Dionisie.
“Will do,” Dionisie says, nodding teleports out of the office.
“Later,” I say, walking out of the office to get gone.
I don’t have a fucking clue how in the hell I’m going to make time to locate my soul mate.
It’s not as easy as it sounds.
Fuck!

Claudette
I can’t believe that I was offered the job at the Sacramento Bee. I’m so excited; it’s my first day at the Sacramento Bee, yeah me.
I walk into the building to start my first day at work. I adjust my shoulder-length dirty blond hair, looking into the elevator’s mirror walls. My face looks flushed, and my eyes appear so damn happy.
Not good.
I need to rein in my feelings.
I need to keep my cool; I can’t appear like a silly young girl.
I have to look confident.
I need to do this.
I need to be myself and stop hiding in the shadows.
I need to show them that I got this.
Yeah, I got this.
I’m a journalist.
I walk down the long hallway to the human resources.
“Hi Claudette,” Ms. Jones says, waving at me.
“Hi Ms. Jones,” I say, turning up my lips stopping next to her.
“Please call me Nancy. Let me take you to this room so you can watch a video and fill out some paperwork. After lunch, I’ll introduce you to your supervisor David Fox.”
“Sounds great.”
I nod as she talks, walking down the hallway leading me into a room that looks like an office.
“Claudette, this file has the paperwork that I need you to fill out. Please watch the video; it should be ready for you; just click on the PC; it will automatically populate,” Nancy says, pointing at the PC.
“Will do,” I say, nodding looking at her.
