Prologue

The deep purple mystical shimmering mist coats the cold white snow shrouding the ground deep in the Blue Ridge mountainside a few hundred miles from Lexington, Virginia. The mystical Earth fairy kingdom remains hidden in the deep woods.

The first day of the 20th century is turning into a very cold winter night. The sky is black with gray-white clouds floating away from the huge full moon.

“The triplets shall be born this night, Queen Victoria,” murmurs the seer, Domitilla, as she stands by the huge round window. She looks out at the full moon, watching the clouds dance around and disappear.

She closes her old tired eyes; the thin grayish translucent skin lids quiver as she watches the scenes run through her head. Her eyes shift rapidly under her eyelids in a fast circular rotation and a long moan escapes her trembling purplish lips.

Queen Victoria’s eyes widen and stares at the old seer, shaking her head. The long wet black locks cling to the side of her sweaty flushed face. Her gray-blue eyes flash with silver specks, full of emotion and fear.

“Oh my, tis it possible? I can’t believe it. Thy King will not tolerate triplets!”

Domitilla opens her eyes wide and turns around to glare at Queen Victoria.

“Tis written, my Queen! The triplets shall be born tonight! The kingdom heirs of fire, air, and wind shall be born. I shall take thy Princess, as it has been written. Thy shall keep the Prince’s for thy King shall be pleased!”

“What!”

Queen Victoria struggles to sit up to glare regally and ENRAGED at the old seer.

“You shall not take my Princess, thou shall not take such actions without my consent! You’re an old witch that shall only foretell! You shall have no power to do as you wish!”

The Queen yells out with pain as a long hard contraction hits her. She opens her eyes weakly and looks at the seer, who is smiling a knowing smile.

“The Queen shall not know thy Princess’s lot. Thy breath fades as surely as thy fate is sealed. Thy Princess shall reign, as surely as thy breath is taken, and as surely thy destiny tis scripted.”

The seer hurries around the Queen’s bedchamber; her long gray and black locks fly behind her. She helps the midwife with Queen Victoria and with the birthing. The Queen’s face is flushed, and her gray-blue eyes are bloodshot. She glares at the seer, unable to speak.

Queen Victoria gives birth to the triplets, in healthy condition, and within the hour.

The old seer gathers the Princess in her arms. She wraps her in a soft white cotton woven blanket and holds her close. She looks down at Princess Sofia Rose.

An old trembling finger traces the small babe’s forehead and then her soft pink heart shaped lips.

“Princess Sofia Rose, thy fate has been cast. Thy heart’s desire shall gain thy reign as well as thy love. Thy shall survive on the earth realm as time soars by. Thy life shall lapse through time, the golden whimsical threads shall bind thy powers and scent, and thy shall have no gen tis time. Not a second before, not a second behind. Shall you know what’s your lot tis time. Thy shall be claimed, thy shall be unchained, then shall thy reign,” murmurs Domitilla.

The seer runs out of Queen’s Victoria’s bedchamber with Princess Sofia Rose in her arms. She runs down the dark hallway, down the side of the door, and out of the royal castle into the dark. She runs and runs until she reaches the small cottage at the edge of the road.

Seer Domitilla stops, takes deep breaths, and holds Princess Sofia Rose close to her heart. She looks down at the babe and then nods.

She takes a few steps towards the cottage door and knocks.

The young woman opens the cottage door and looks at the old seer. She holds the kitchen cloth in her hand, nodding. She smiles softly at the seer.

“How may I help you?” asks the young woman.

“Tis a gift I bear thee, tis a gift of life. Thy shall cherish and shelter this babe. Thy shall call her Sofia Rose, thy shall defend her, and they shall love her. Thy tis chosen and tis shall be done,” imparts Domitilla in a raspy voice as she leans in closer.

She extends her arms with the babe in her hands. She hands Princess Sofia Rose to the young woman.

The young woman’s eyes widen, surprised and pleased. She anxiously reaches for the babe and hugs her close to her heart. She leans in and softly rains butterfly kisses across her soft pink cheeks.

“Thy must be mistaken,” says Annie, gazing down at the babe. Her eyes fill with tears, overflowing the lower eyelid, and runs down her pale cheek.

Domitilla shakes her head, and waves. She takes a small step back and disappears.

The Elemental Fairy kingdoms directly control particular natural phenomenal forces. The four elemental kingdoms are the Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. The fairy kingdoms co-exist amicably on the earth realm with humanity for the time being.

The birth of the triplets heralded a significant chain of events that redefined the era in the mystical Elemental Fairy realms.
