“Knight?” she asks sleepily.

“Shh, Doll, it’s not time to get up yet,” I say, quietly trying to soothe her back to sleep.

Nodding, she nuzzles into my chest and closes her eyes again. She’s still asleep when I step out of the bathroom, unpropping the door so it swings closed behind me. It’s 0645 hours, and breakfast is at 0700, but I don’t want to leave her upstairs while I go down to the kitchen to make us something to eat.

I can continue to watch her sleep through the cameras on my cell phone, but I don’t want to. I want her with me all the time, and even just being downstairs feels too far away. Taking some boxers from the dresser, I stare intently at her, willing her towake up so I don’t have to make the choice to walk away from her, but in the end, it’s my cell phone ringing that pulls her from sleep.

Lifting it from the bedside table, I glance at the number on the screen and see it’s Cody Barnett. Not who I was expecting to hear from this early on a Sunday morning.

“Hello,” I answer.

“Knight.” It’s Betty, not Cody, on the other end of the phone.

“Betty?” I question.

“Has Octy lost her cell or something, because I’ve texted her like a hundred times since you left here yesterday, and she’s left me on read. So what gives? Have you taken her cell or something? I know you think I’m going to try to turn her against you or some shit, but just in case she didn’t tell you, I’m happy for you guys. I’m glad she has you, and that she’s happy, even if marrying a man you barely know is insane. But anyway, I’m not trying to make trouble for you, Knight, so stop gatekeeping my friend,” Betty blurts so quickly I struggle to keep up with her rant.

“Good morning, Betty. Octavia’s cell is charging beside her on the bedside table. I haven’t taken it from her or kept her away from it. But I don’t believe she has paid much attention to it since I brought her back to Rockhead Point. I feel no ill will toward you, Betty, as long as you understand that Octavia is my wife. She will be the mother of my children. We are a family?—”

“I get that, okay—” Betty interrupts, but I continue to speak over her.

“I’m not gatekeeping her. Nor do I have any desire to keep my wife away from her friends. She’s asleep?—”

“No, I’m awake,” a sleepy-sounding Octavia says, shuffling into an upright position and holding her hand out for my cell.

Handing it over to her, I sit down beside her, taking her free hand in mine and bringing it to my lips, pressing soft kisses against her tattooed knuckles.

“Do you know what time it is?” Octavia asks the moment the cell is to her ear.

I can’t hear Betty’s reply, but honestly, I don’t care what she has to say.

“Bett, I love you, but you need to chill out. Knight hasn’t taken my cell phone away from me, and I’m not a prisoner. We just got married, and yesterday afternoon I was busy being fucked six ways from Sunday by my husband, and when you’re in an orgasm coma, who the fuck is checking their cell phone?”

There’s a pause as my doll pulls her hand from mine and starts to trace the outline of my pecs and abs with the tips of her fingers.

“Yes, Bett, six ways from Sunday. And if you really need the details, after we got home yesterday, he fucked me so hard it hurt to walk, and even though I’m still sore, I need to go now so he can make me breakfast, then fuck me over the kitchen counter before we go and set up my space at the studio.” Instead of sounding annoyed, her face is split into a grin as she giggles.

“Yep. See you later. Love you,” she chirps happily, dropping my cell to the bed while she climbs onto my lap.

“Good morning. I tried not to wake you,” I tell her, curling one arm around her back and lifting the other to bury my hand in her hair.

“I know,” she says, leaning forward to press her lips against mine.

Twisting my hand a little tighter in her hair, I use my grip on her to pull her closer, kissing her back and slipping my tongue into her mouth to taste hers. Moving slowly, she grinds her pussy against my rapidly hardening dick, teasing me while we devour each other’s mouths.

“I’m hungry,” she says when she pulls back. “But I’ll let you make me breakfast first.” Winking, she jumps off my lap and heads for the bathroom, closing the door behind her.

Smiling, I get up from the bed, then follow her into the bathroom, standing in the doorway and watching while she rolls her eyes at my invasion.

“Are you still sore?” I ask after she’s finished washing her hands.

“A little, but not too sore. Is fucking me over the kitchen counter on your list?”

“No, but I’m willing to add it.”

Looking up at me from beneath her eyelashes, she smiles. “Then let’s go downstairs.”
