To say that I’m mortified is an understatement, but with my gut heaving again and again, I can hardly get a curse word out.

When I’m able to stand, I look over at Greyson, whose head is tilted to the side, his eyes narrowed. If I had to guess, I’d say he knows what’s going on and he’s trying desperately to figure out how to make the situation disappear.

“You okay?” Greyson whispers.

“Yeah!” I snap, whipping around to head back to the hotel.

Ever since I found out I was pregnant, I’ve made increasingly poor decisions, but being so horny that I threw myself at Greyson is by far the worst of them.

Especially since he’ll be taking a wife soon.

My stomach twists again, threatening to expel the remaining contents at the memory of them talking at his office door, where he’d fucked me on his desk hours earlier.

He hasn’t told the public about their relationship yet, probably because it’s more of an arranged thing and not based on love.

Still, I hate that I was the other woman.

Greyson jogs next to me. “Penny, we need to talk.”

“No, we don’t!”

“Uh, I think we do.”

“Then you’re wrong.”

“How far along are you?”

“What are you talking about?”

He grabs my shoulder and brings me to a halt.

“Penny, I know you’re pregnant with my baby, so tell me how far along you are!”

“How do you know it’s your baby?” I hiss.

“Because you were a virgin that night in my office.”

“How would you know that?”

“I just know.”

“Then you should know how far along I am.”

“That’s right,” he nods, “I should.”

For a long minute, we stare at each other, lost in our thoughts.

Knowing that I’ve put him in an impossible situation, I say, “You don’t have to worry. I’ll go away.”

“I don’t want that.”

I snicker and turn, but he pulls me back around to look at him.

“Penny, what the hell has gotten into you?”

“Gee, I don’t know—maybe I’m scared.”

“You’ve been acting like this since that night, before you could have known you were pregnant, so don’t give me that line of bullshit.”
